Looking for a tv show that has lots of series. Mainly something to watch when I'll be breastfeeding/up during the night etc Smile I have Netflix, Disney and Prime (although I hate the ads!). Please let me know your recommendations. The only thing I've watched of that genre is Scrubs which I really liked but looking for something a bit different/less comedy Smile

I've watched Mindhunter too which was amazing but looking for something with lots of series and maybe a bit less complex? I'll have sleep deprivation so couldn't keep up with a Mindhunter-type show Blush

ER. Incomparable.

st elsewhere as well for a proper 80’s OG with racism, AIDS etc.

code black is more recent.
the resident if you like pretty people.

i watched something of a mix recently, medical but turned into a police drama. British. Irish lead. Will think.

ER, House, and Grey's Anatomy.

Legal/political genre I would/have watched and worth considering:
The Good Wife
The Good Fight
Bull
Madam Secretary
The West Wing.

All the above are about 20+ episodes per season.

Law and order svu is on Netflix and has a gazillion episodes and not many longer story arcs so easy to pick up and put down.

I like 911 on Disney plus which is ongoing.
My favourite is probably Criminal minds which is also on Disney.

BingPot99 · 26/01/2025 15:30

Brooklyn Nine-Nine on netflix 😁

I also really like 24 Hours in Police Custody on Channel 4.

Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD. The are loads of free seasons on Prime. Three separate series set in the same place where there’s occasional overlap. You can choose to just watch one and any crossover episodes or watch them all. This is the order. There are more seasons than aren’t free on Prime if that matters.

NYPD Blue on Disney. All the series are there. It ran from 1993 to 2005 so it’s beautifully retro.

9-11 and 9-11 Lone Star are on Disney. They’re about the fire brigade but as well as fire engines they send out ambulance crews and paramedics (who are also firefighters) - it’s a thing in the US.

Dexter - it's brilliant. 8 original series plus spinoffs

InWithThePlums · 26/01/2025 15:52

I love Poirot.

WeeOrcadian · 26/01/2025 16:06

I'm currently bingeing Chicago Med. Some lovely eye candy too.

Just finished Blue Bloods this afternoon, New York based police family over 3 generations. Season 14 is the last one so loads to keep you occupied.

agree with many if the others, ER, Greys in particular.

PieonaBarm · 26/01/2025 16:29

Life on Mars and then Ashes to Ashes. Gene Hunt is a legend!

In fact I might start watching again myself!

MoiraRosefan · 26/01/2025 16:32

The Night Shift on Netflix
station 19 on Disney, spin off from Greys Anatomy, same writer

magicstar1 · 26/01/2025 16:32

The Shield. It's absolutely brilliant. Amazon Prime have it at the moment.

It's consistent voted as one of the top cop dramas and I can't recommend it enough.
