A bit I guess - they have a theme for the year, the chefs compete by regions in groups of 4, they all have to do a canapé type thing, a starter and a fish course for a judge chef, then the one with the lowest score leaves and the rest cook their mains, pre-dessert and dessert. The lowest scoring one after that goes home and the last two cook for another set of judges which usually includes a celeb from their region. The one with the highest score goes on to compete against the winners from the other regions. Finally the judges choose a winning chef for each course and those chefs cook at a banquet.
