I roasted a chicken for dinner so am feeling particularly smug and judgy tonight Grin

Excited to see how they shoehorn in the theme.

I made a Tom Kerridge recipe vegetarian cottage pie. I could go on this now.

jay55 · 28/01/2025 20:07

@EsmaCannonball did you have props?

Theeyeballsinthesky · 28/01/2025 20:07

Ah Paul is generally quite sweet - like him

DollopOfFun · 28/01/2025 20:07

Wahey here we go!

Didn't realise Nisha wasn't on this year.

Hoping for plenty of pre-glow up Michael O'Hare flashbacks

EsmaCannonball · 28/01/2025 20:08

Ebullient = needs amphetamines to get through a service. I've seen The Bear.

We get fed, so no control and it’s usually beige & chips, but tonight it was a very tasty beef and broccoli stir fry with sticky rice

Smiley plant man smiles are already slightly terrifying in their intensity

He is, but I'll never forget him on Saturday Kitchen 'correcting' the female chef by letting her know it's pronounced 'brush-etta'. Oh hun.

Erm, I stuck the plastic penguins off the Christmas cake in the mashed potato.

(I didn't.)

Sunbird24 · 28/01/2025 20:10

Mandatory vegan. No ta.

Black garlic. Also no ta

EsmaCannonball · 28/01/2025 20:11

Well, Monica Dolan wouldn't need any facial prosthetics to play Jean Proctor. Dead ringer.

jay55 · 28/01/2025 20:11

Nothing says banquet like nettles Confused

Theeyeballsinthesky · 28/01/2025 20:12

A Roman emperor is a British hero??? Am I missing something?

or is it the wall that’s the hero?

EsmaCannonball · 28/01/2025 20:12

I hope Michael O'Hare is back even though his restaurant closed down.

Cookingdoesntgettougher · 28/01/2025 20:12

Evening - let’s see how tenuous they can make the links

EsmaCannonball · 28/01/2025 20:13

Never mind not practising his dish. He's chosen a feckin' Roman. Boudicaa is sharpening her spears.

Might depend on whether he's paid his tax bill

CurlewKate · 28/01/2025 20:13

Love that there's mandatory vegan. Otherwise people wouldn't do it.

DollopOfFun · 28/01/2025 20:13

Jeez, nettles and Hillsborough.
