Am I the only one watching? I can't see a thread

I thought T & D did their last skate together last year!

I'm a massive fan of DOI and am in awe watching the pro skaters. I saw Torville and Dean on their tour a few years ago and it was fantastic but they're knocking on a lot now and suppose they're susceptible to bone damage so their routines are not as vigorous.

Week one and the celebs are all doing well imo⛸️

I have tickets for the T&D tour and I'm hoping they will do some of their classic routines such as Mack and Mabel

Pleased Michaela did well. She’s the only one I really knew of this evening’s contestants.

I find watching T & D skate a bit cringey for some reason.

I knew more than I thought I did.

Anton came on so much between the intro and his first dance. I'm very impressed with the quality of skating tonight but I reckon Chelsee will go out next week.

Stephen Mulhern is getting on my wick.

Suzie20 I usually like him & don't understand the hate, but he was annoying tonight!

They've looked at Claudia's terrible jokes with Tess and thought that that's a model to be copied, but Claudia only (barely) gets away with them because she's Claudia and that's her persona, built up over literal decades.

I don't usually mind Stephen but I think Holly just isn't the right foil for him - she's just very awkward

I think however annoying he might be, he's not smug Philip Schofield, so I'm happy to tolerate him. I think as pp said, he'd be more bearable if Holly wasn't there - she just comes across as patronising towards him, they don't really work together.

The Costume designer hates everyone. The cheapest tat I have seen since DOI first started years ago.

Just watched it! Enjoyed it. Some decent performances. Oti looked lush, and so did Holly! 😄

Anyone else see the onslaught against Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby though, for their supposedly lame tribute towards The Vivienne???

People on toxic Twitter/X were bitching and carping about how Stephen and Holly are vile arseholes. Someone said 'they are more evil than Fred and Rose West,' because they didn't do a 'better tribute' to The Vivienne! ITV would have told them what to do FFS!

Twitter/X really is a vile cesspit these days. I have posted on there no more than 5 times in 4-5 months. SO many horrible people on there.

I wonder how much 'choice' the pros get. I wonder if they've ever said to Vanessa 'We are going to put you with the older, not very good one this time' & she said 'I don't think so, or I'll walk!' (or something!)

Yes it was extreme. Some people on Twitter/X are batshit crazy I swear.

I also wonder if Vanessa threatens to walk if she get an older, clumsy-ish man who is unlikely to win. Or does she know where the bodies are buried? 😬

I think they always give Vanessa the young men because they know it will generate lots of romance rumours and give the show press coverage.

They did a lovely captioned picture at the end of the credits. I thought at the time that giving both names might have been nice, to acknowledge the person behind the persona for the family, but it was a nice gesture anyway.

Thankyou. Had Wilf in A&E with chest pains. Doctors diagnosed pleurisy. He didn't get home till 2am!!

Yes. He's tucked up in his flat watching the new Mr Tumble episodes. He had such bad chest pains. They were very thorough, blood tests, ECG and XRay. I had several video calls when I was asleep. I said to his support worker earlier I think I looked like Frankensteins Bride. He got home to his at 2am and I didn't get to sleep till 3am...😴 😴 😴

What if she did walk? They just don't invest in the pros in the same way Strictly does and she would be quickly forgotten.

My theory is that she can't connect with people who are older and/or complete beginners - imagine her with Bez?!
