Well I guess that's it for this year and probably the end of the show. It felt very tired this year and the skating standard (apart from Michaela) was very low

I liked Sam but he got my least votes tonight.

I agree, its been pretty boring and the over marking has been ridiculous.

I think the show is well past its sell by date.

The best skater hardly ever wins - eg Perri Kiely.

I liked him. He’s been a reasonable skater all the way through, and did try/improve. But he shouldn’t have won.

I recorded it and only just finished watching so didn't open this thread to have the surprise spoiled. Have to say that I really wanted and thought Michaela would win but Sam impressed me (for the first time) in the final and wasn't too shocked at the result. We don't know how close the voting was. It could have been a close call.

I agree the show has maybe run it's course and Torville and Dean can't carry on forever.

I'm late to see this but it's been cancelled.

Sorry to see this gone, it could have worked if producers had listened. I just bought a DVD of series 1-3 to see the difference!

Agree @InSearchOfMartin previous series the skating standard of the finalists was so high it's like a different programme

I have the dvds form the early seasons too!
It used to be sooo much better. The last few years just have been so flat.

No shock, this series felt healf hearted and when you have to have people who were on a game show as a celebrity you know their scrapping the barrel. It also started to feel dated.

I do think things like this, BGT, and the now gone XFactor, were a moment in time. I see BGT going next.

I'm really disappointed but it's not unexpected.
