It was good but it wasn't exceptional and worth a perfect score.

I think it was. Beautiful interpretation from someone who has no experience in acting or anything related, and having given such high marks to people who were mediocre or made mistakes I think his mark was fair enough.

I agree it’s a very boring series this year although loved Anton he was great . He should not be in dance off tonite

We've just got home from church. Wilf is home till tomorrow. We just saw Antons beautiful dance which deserved his 40.

It was obvious they were going to save Dan I think. Didn't really matter what the skating was like.

I thought Mollie improved in the skate off and Dan was more hesitant, but I do agree overall he's normally stronger.

The whole show for me just lacks the thrills and excitement of previous line ups.

Judges scoring those high marks just seemed odd. I hate to say it but my interest is fading just a bit. 🫤

We're watching on catchup so am avoiding spoilers. But how the fuck did Dan get 9.5s when his partner fell?

Well...I suppose they can't penalise the celebrity when it's the pro has made the mistake.

Maybe he threw her wrong or she did just land off balance ...🤷‍♂️ .I am not an expert to spot these things !

She looked like she really twisted her ankle though !

She wobbled on landing in skate off too. To me the pro is supposed to showcase the celeb, not distract attention and all to often the camera focuses on them skating solo or the extra skaters. Think the use of dry ice also covers any good footwork which affected Anton's score, and errors.

I’m always struck by the thought that the men must be very strong to be able to lift the women above their heads.
I consider myself a pretty strong if not very fit woman but I can barely lift my almost two year old granddaughter into my arms, left alone above my head. She is a chonk but obviously a lot lighter than an adult woman, even a tiny professional skater. Even her three month old sister I can only lift up into the air (while sitting on the sofa!) for a few seconds.
The male professionals must be solid muscle, especially as the women are changing position in the air. And they’re on ice!
Plus when they spin (the men and the women) how do they not get dizzy?! Some of the professionals’ solo spins are just so fast.
And the headbangers? Surely all the blood would rush to your head.

The men will be strong, but it’s also about the women knowing how to hold themselves e.g. really holding their core strongly so they’re properly balanced. Your granddaughter won’t be doing that which is why it’s harder to lift her - she’s not balanced properly. But yes strength does also play a huge part!

In terms of artistic impression it was the best skate of the series so far. From someone with no acting or performing experience it was remarkable.

I admire the men for their strength but should have said I also admire the women as even if I was 35 years younger, slim and petite, I’m not good with heights, have no balance, sense of direction or spatial awareness and as am about as graceful as a hippo!
I was one of those kids who inched around the rink clinging to the side when a friend’s dad occasionally took us skating in school holidays.
I love watching gymnastics too but was spectacularly bad at that too when I tried it as a kid. 😂
