And to be fair, after 25 years, she's lucky anyone would actually recognise her here. Her follow up albums didn't do much, distinctive voice or not.

I do recall Chris Evans referring to Macy being bonkers (or words to that effect) when he interviewed her at the height of her fame. I think there were also some drug use allegations & whatnot.

She's done it before, she knows how it works.

And the show is filmed over a week or 2, not in 'real' time, so it's not like she was left hanging around. She has a very distinctive voice, if any one was getting guessed, it's Macy Gray.
