Chris has worked for it the hardest. Diane's reasoning was spot-on.
JB is talented, had already done a dance show with his back-up dancer to JLS wife Chloe, danced in JLS and knows how it all works.
Chris and Pete hadn't the foggiest.
I won't begrudge JB as I'd like a win for Lauren but not bothered about him or any of the JLS lot tbh or their former tour manager. All give me the ick.

Every now and then someone tries a Freedom of Information Act request on the votes, but the BBC has always successfully pushed back on grounds of commercial sensitivity and because the votes are independently verified by a third party which means that there are no realistic grounds to fear shenanigans.

Presumably if they published the vote then it would be more difficult to recruit celebrities.

Nobody wants it on the public record that they are in fact not the lovable public favourite that they've been pushing as the reason why they should be paid a hundred grand a show, but are in fact less popular than scrofula.

Dancing on Ice does publish the vote at the end of the series but a) no one cares and b) ITV did have a well-founded reputation for shenanigans when it comes to the public vote.

As long as Pete isn't in the final, I can't grumble about any of Chris, JB, Sarah or Tash winning. All have a fair grounds of improvement or talent.

I'd happily see Chris win for sheer entertainment and tenacity, or JB for recent improvements. I've voted for Sarah throughout but had lost the novelty of her choreography over most of the recent weeks. Out of those 4, Tash is probably least likely to attract the votes for a win.

She had a streak of red on her arm. I thought it had been a lipstick smear.

She did have a handheld mic for being interviewed.

I thought Tasha was her usual forgettable self and Sarah didn’t seem quite as “on it” as she usually does.

JB dances of the night for me by a long way, but I did actually enjoy Tasha's waltz.

One of the things I love about JB is that he's equally good at latin and ballroom and when he's dancing you feel the love of it from him. In latin and speciality latin - since being paired with Lauren - he seems to be in love with the freedom to move every part of his body and his hips are to die for. In ballroom it's as though he's a loved up hold and stretch and lengthen the fingers and hold the neck just so and perfect feet nerd. He never looks like it's a chore or by numbers, it's as though this form of dance, latin and ballroom, is a part of his body and his body has been patiently waiting to meet them.

In another year he'd be lifting the Disco ball and while I don't begrudge Chris the win at all, JB will be one of those few special dancers who everyone agrees should have won. I mean he could win but it's unlikely.

And I love Lauren so much. I'd love to be taught by her and dance with her. I'd also like it if she and Kai got together. There's something about them, they look good together.

I agree with your points about JB. I was just thinking that it wasn't a fluke when he did well with Lauren with his couples choice. As the weeks progressed, he became a confident, versatile dancer rather than just someone learning to dance, and looked entirely at ease in ballroom as well as Latin.

I wonder which dance the judges will.pick for him to improve on, and whether it will be one that he's done with Amy rather than Lauren.
