There’s a film called Confetti where couples compete for who has the best themed wedding and one of them is tennis themed! Steven Mangan is one half of the tennis couple iirc.

Wimbledon weddings is a great idea, although isn’t there some law that English weddings have to be under a roof? I suppose they could have a ceremonial roof closing on centre court it will probably be raining anyway.

The good thing about Centre Court is the roof is glass, and not all dark and oppressive like the ones at other slams, so that shouldn't be a problem. .

I wouldn't want to get married on Ashe or Laver with the roof shut, it's too big and looks like a box

And Chatrier- you'd get clay stains on the dress.

Got to think of these things.

I suppose grass stains could be an issue...

could always have a green/purple carpet thing, like they use for trophy ceremonies.

And that little round wonky looking garden table, that looks like they've had it in a shed for years.

They could charge a fortune for this. And the beauty of it, is under the roof, it could be all year around. (Might ruin the grass though).

I'm watching far too many cheesy Christmas films, in the absence of any tennis.

Even by my standards. .

Stef and Paula seem to be holidaying somewhere with lots of snow - I also saw a picture of them laid on the floor wearing high vis clothes so not quite sure what they're up to

Hope everyone is surviving the storm and the run up to Christmas. It appears that having recent elbow surgery still doesn't excuse me from hosting Christmas Day (maybe I should start another thread about this!)

We still haven't got our Christmas tree - the place was closed yesterday due to the storm so we're trying again today (although it is still quite stormy!) I have managed to convince myself that there will be no Christmas trees left!

Wonder if I can get away with decorating it like this one?
