Shapo is the reason I’m reluctant to hype young players too much. He was so good when he came on the scene and he hasn’t developed his game at all.
All that said, Joao seems really good.
Andrey is barely clinging on. If he can somehow take it to a fourth set it might get more interesting given his opponent has no experience in the best of 5
format. I feel like Joao’s celebrations could become obnoxious once he’s no longer the underdog, which on this evidence could be pretty soon.
