How long has it been since the crush, if she is still in pain would they not need to explore and see if they missed something?
Early pregnancy wouldn't have put pressure on her ribs as the pregnancy would have been in the pelvis ( although should move upwards around now).
I didn't understand the questions about movement at the scan either movements are in early stages at 17 weeks, and it isn't uncommon for them to be on and off or absent until 24 weeks. So her not feeling the baby for a day wouldn't necessarily ring alarm bells.

I'm seeing Lauren's pain as PTSD from the crush.
She was presumably mildly injured but hasn't had help or been able to process the feelings of terror she experienced.
Addiction is usually self medicating unresolved issues/emotions and she's experienced it before.
Emotional pain is interlinked with physical symptoms of pain

You are right, psychosomatic pain would make total sense, especially as she seem to be suffering at abdomen level and her injuries were at chest level.

Most men in EE only have to take their boots off and some nearby woman is impregnated, so it could easily happen. Maybe that will be the reason Rheiss will have to let her out in the end? The sleeping with Junior did seem a bit of a random event at the time.

The reason Reiss and Sonia were having IVF was because Reiss's little swimmers were not swimming very well.

Still, stranger things have happened than an infertile man impregnating a nearly 50 year in EE!

How come Cindy was the only one who thought to go round the back of burning house? Can't believe how incredibly wet and useless Peter is. When he ordered Lauren to stay at Jack's it showed just what a gutless creep he is. If I was Lauren I'd go and never look back. Why would they all believe Cindy?

The only two who really doubt Cindy are Kathy and Elaine. Kathy's going to love Cindy's fall from grace.

It seems as if Peter hasn't really grown up yet, still so feeble reacting to everyone around him without really getting a grip on the fact he needs to step up. I used to think Jonny Sausage was a bit like that, but he's really stepped up recently looking after his little brother at least.
