I've finished episode three which was similar ( ish ) to episode two.
Love this and I hope it's resolved as wondering what has become of James and the one who was working with him.
David Mitchell is very good.
Thought I'd start a spoiler thread but can't do the links for it.

I’ve binge watched and really enjoyed but as someone from Cambridge the geography was a bit distracting - a lot of it obviously not in Cambridge/Cambridgeshire but I heard David Mitchell say as much in an interview 😂

a little tit but I found very funny - the outside of the police station, absolutely not the main police station but the place where I did a speed awareness course… found that ironically hilarious when he was parking terribly

and yes please we need a series 2

Loved episode four and the building site was a delight ( although nobody seemed particularly upset the man had died ! 😆)
You do have to suspend belief , but he sells his talents well I think.

Can we say anything about the last ep yet?

Can I talk about the overall storyline?! The biggest problem I have is that, in effect, James hasn't actually gone into hiding as everyone - and that includes the bad guys - thinks he's still around?! So "he's" still in massive danger etc etc.??

If it all gets solved & he's no longer in danger-what about his job???

Whoever is after James is also after Lucy and the son.
She didn't get anywhere with Matt.

Can't believe that only person ( so far ) has realized that he isn't James!
So the teacher stayed in one room for days! Where did he go to the loo or have food ?
The stories are clever, but also have a few plot holes too :)

Good point about the murderer needing the toilet in the school episode! They did say though that he had packet other food wrappers etc into his bag and the apple in the bin was an oversight.

I really loved the whole series, so watchable and fun. I agree there are a few plot holes, in the 2nd episode I'm sure there was something about a phone call from the murdered man to his fiancee that wasnt explained in the denoument.

Also, as mentioned above I don't understand James leaving because he was in danger, when John has then not been in danger (it would seem) when pretending to be him.

I don't really care though, still loved it.

Binge watched all episodes, love it!
Obviously it’s not oscar nomination level but still the 2 things I would question are:
James’ family are not completely desperate about him missing, far too happy go lucky considering he coujd be dead!

also the speed with which the killers confess in every case without compelling evidence! Would never happen in real life!

None of it would happen in real life! That's really not the point. It's just fun.

I'd probably confess in a panic even if I had had nothing to do with it!

It is veering into ' death in paradise' territory at times with eveyone sitting there waiting to be outed as the suspect.
Love the DI sidekick. His expressions are priceless .

He solved the cryptic puzzle his brother left in the last episode. It was an address but where did he find the lock up key from?

Absolutely loved it though-bring on series 2!
