SCD 2024: The One With All the Videos 🪩

Here’s a thread for all the videos we want to share during SCD 2024. Use it to post your favourite past performances or just any dance videos you want to share.

We use this thread so that a) the videos don’t get lost and b) so that we don’t make the discussion threads run slow for those on the app.

I’ll start off with my traditional shares!

This was one of three routines that season Mark Ballas was emmy-nominated for for Outstanding Choreography.

Dodgy and that's just the film plot I'd have grabbed my popcorn though

I assume Wynne will be doing the moves from Dude Looks Like a Lady to Papa's Got a Brand New Bag. DLLAL is asking for trouble although musically it would be a very solid (if rather dull) Cha Cha.

PGABNG is a much more interesting song that will give Wynne a chance to shine with groove as well as being the funny fat man dressed in a frock.

This is the level of Hallowe'en theming I can cope with, where it doesn't interfere with the dancing!

Is there anyway of watching DWTS or do we just have to play catch up on YouTube?

Mostly YouTube. I had high hopes that it would be shown on Disney + but no luck

Great dance! Neil looked really young without his facial hair.

The trouble is, Katya has been able show off her fabulous on Strictly, Neil never has.

That's very true @AnneShirleysNewDress - she really is great at showing how fabulous she is & showing off her partners too!

Thanks for sharing @PolkadotsAndMoonbeams - Neil actually seems very attractive there (& I'm not a Neil fan!!)

Karen looks phenomenal and Charles doesnt do too badly. Always thought he went out too soon.

They got the costuming correct - it's just that Paddington was never in that scene. I didn't realise CRH had choreoed this - it makes sense now.

All Charles' Latin dances were so watchable, especially when they were Street Commercial tinged, leaning into Karen's strengths. Every time anyone bangs on about Bill Bailey's Couples' Choice I'm inwardly screaming #Justice4ChuckyV. It's soured me slightly on Bill's victory tbh.

Bill did have more eye catching music though.

Wow! I do t think we get to see just how good the pro's are in the show, even when its only them dancing. We went to see the Strictly pro's tour a couple of years ago and it blew me away.

The pros hold back so much on SCD! Most of them Jive at about half speed so that they do t show up their celeb partner!

Katya and Ed Balls doing the cha cha to Love Potion No 9. It's vastly entertaining. I think that was Katya's first year on the show with her mad genius choreo.

I don't think this Halloween week routine can be surpassed...

My favourite Halloween dance ever, so deserving of the earliest ever 40. The song is so apt as the dance literally gives me shivers every time I watch.
