Dh kept telling me to go to the Davis Cup Fizzy -but it all honesty, apart from not being able to figure out the best day to make it work.

I don't get how many women fall for Nick either - wasn't Ajla Tomljanovic with him before she was with Matteo (I mean, that was a serious upgrade).
Nick's exs never seem to have good things to say about him, I wonder why?

I've got tickets for the Davis Cup on Sunday - I've managed to persuade (bribe) DS1 to come with me - hopefully it will be good - come on Dan!

I'm there Sunday....and might have accidently bought some for Friday was well. Not told DH about that yet, but taking 2 very excited 10 yr holds with me. Although suspect they are more excited about skiving off school than the tennis

We're going to train it in Friday but not sure about Sunday as they don't run as late on a Sunday. Think 8ve made the mistake of booking tickets right behind the players so we'll be right behind the brass bands.....oh well kids will love it, I might take ear defenders

Rafa has withdrawn from the Laver Cup and isn't going to be there in any capacity!

Oh . On the one hand, I'm not surprised (more surprised he ever was) but the announcement is a bit strange and sounds like something has happened, more than just injury/fitness.

I saw that De Minaur and TP have withdrawn from Team world as well, and been replaced by Kokkinakis and Cerundolo. I think the event may be a bit of a let down for some (although Team Europe is still a strong one).

It’s weird, he could just have turned up and played one doubles match, like Roger did. I feel sorry for all the people who paid super inflated prices for the tickets on the expectation of seeing Rafa.

It does make you wonder what has gone on , Ice - a lot of people will have bought tickets thinking it will be like Roger's swan song, and yes, the prices are ££££ so there will be some very unhappy punters. I'm sure he has his reasons- but it does seem out of character to let fans down, if not for a very good reason (as you say, he could just turn up to show his face/ do a bit of coaching - a lot of fans would be happy with that).

It is very strange and he says he was looking forward to it, and he hasn't issued his own statement. Weird.

I think Roger has found his calling, definitely. He was never one of my favourite players, but he doesn't take himself seriously now he's retired and isn't afraid to do all sorts of stuff.

Maybe he should be the next James Bond, he can ski, he can play tennis, he looks good in a suit- and a naff cardigan. He can drive fancy sports cars. I'm sure there are no end to Roger's talents.
