Have set it to record because I love David Morrissey but not sure about BBC3 comedies tbf!

MeAgainAndAgain · 11/08/2024 01:34

David Morrissey is very much my type of guy. Dad bod, cuddly, kind, scratchy beard, bit unsure sometimes, 10/10.

But I’m another one who isn’t fond of anything on BBC3.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/08/2024 09:37

I think bbc 3&4 do some good dramas

Hate the title! But following to see what people who've seen it think- I'm up for a gentle, silly comedy.

paranoidnamechanger · 15/08/2024 18:23

I've just watched the first episode, they're all on iPlayer. It was enjoyable if a little too crude for me and it was fun to see the filming locations in Stockport.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2024 19:14

Starts tonight

I watched first episode last night. I thought it was funny enough to keep watching

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2024 18:24

Wonder I'd she will get it together with coffee shop man

Gemma has ishoos

Thecatatnight · 17/08/2024 21:30

Also don’t like the title. Recognised so many of the cast though- Stevie from Miranda, the sister from Two Doors Down, sex in the toilet guy from Siblings & the psycho friend guy from AIBU with Daisy May Cooper. Plus many more! It makes me realise I watch a lot on the BBC!

the80sweregreat · 20/08/2024 19:25

It's definitely not for my demographic, but I like it
The main actress isn't too bad and David Morrissey is good.

mewkins · 20/08/2024 23:04

Just finished the last episode (no spoilers) but it does get genuinely funny once the character bed in.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/08/2024 14:24

Still watching tv pace. It's ok. Sometimes funny

On the whole I'm enjoying this especially David Morrissey who I have been in love with since One Summer back in the 80s; even if he is playing the shadow of a man beaten by divorce. I'm a little ahead so without spoilers I'm a little alarmed over the casual sex especially as Gemma is pregnant. Am I just an old prude? I do love the landlord/incel character. Very funny but totally cringe!

Dontjudgeme101 · 25/08/2024 23:54

l really enjoyed it.

He’s absolutely gorgeous isn’t he?

MrsLargeEmbodied · 26/08/2024 08:50

i would like to see this
i generally like bbc 3

MrsLargeEmbodied · 26/08/2024 15:34

oh, disappointing in parts

spoiler

and the ending was very bad, sorry

martinisforeveryone · 28/08/2024 11:33

Finally got around to starting this last night but gave up approaching 20 minutes in.

HoxtHun · 28/08/2024 12:08

I found it disappointing. Far too light and inconsequential and just - unambitious.

Aimee Lou Wood is so very watchable - but I haven’t seen her in anything memorable since Sex Education.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/08/2024 18:49

I still see him at the baddie who killed my fav red in the walking dead

OP posts:
paranoidnamechanger · 29/08/2024 20:52

Too coarse for me and I thought David Morrissey was miscast. Disappointing.

the80sweregreat · 29/08/2024 22:01

David Morrisey is far better in Sherwood !
He is a bit manic in this.
