Horrid Henry is officially banned in our house for DS aged 4.6. Does anyone else stop DC's watching certain children's programmes?

Because he is just so rude and whenever DS watches it he ends up being quite rude, ie calling people "stupid" or "loser".

DS doesn't really like CBeebies - tends to like CITV or CBBC, which we feel is aimed at slightly older children.

Thankfully we only have Freeview not cable so don't have to suffer Nickledeon, Disney Channel etc.

How could anyone hate Lazytown? Surely we all have the hots for Sportacus?

Horrid Henry is vile, but only because of very poor parenting.

Nothing banned as such, but I can't bear sodding Tweenies.

That said, I have banned Bratz - not that I have sat down and watched a whole episode, but every time I see it it seems to be full over very unpleasant characters saying "yeah, like, whatever"!

Sort of an aside, but I just love BBCiplayer.

Right now poor old dd2 (full of cold) is sat on my knee watching Charlie and Lola episodes on the left of the puter screen, while I MN on the right side.

Its win win, you get to pick the best of what beebies has to offer, cuddle your child AND MN

AND I am drinking a cup of tea

AND eating Lindt chocolate

AND my hair is looking GREAT today

Bratz! on CITV, can't stand the dolls and the show is even worse!
My DD1 is almost 6yrs old and she started talking like them and trying to do "fashion shows" and all that twaddle.
In the night garden is also banned as it makes your brains leak out of your ears!

ktmoomoo · 19/04/2008 13:22

i have also banned bratz

cluelessnchaos · 19/04/2008 13:27

I banned dds from watching tracy beaker but relented on that one and barred them from all american crap, ie suite life of zack and cody, anything with teenage attitude

I'm still annoyed about Basil ('shove off you git') Brush the other day and the BBC's wishy washy apology to my complaint .
