Regarding Sean and everyone else maybe they aren't allowed to talk normally on camera and only say the silly phrases and lines the producers expect them to say!!

As thread says awful pathetic mess 🙄

I'm getting more ruthless vibes from this bunch of Love Islanders. I think it is all eyes on the prize with this lot (and I don't mean Jess 😂). Or maybe it is because they are a bit older.

Do we know if Joey Essex is doing this for free, or if he is being paid? I can't help but feel his actions are all pre-determined by the producers to stir the pot.

Apparently he is not getting paid any more than the expenses the other LI are receiving. I guess it is all about exposure , which he isn't going to get as much of by being boring!

Against the grain here but I really like Ronnie 🤣 don't think he has a bad bone in his body.
Wouldn't find him attractive though but think he'd look better with his head shaved.

Yes I agree. I just think he's young and it's not as though he's in a relationship.

ageratum1 · 28/06/2024 10:41

Jess at best 'forthright' at worst a bitch, but either a way a refreshing change from the nice girls.Good TV
Grace brought in to be humiliated.
Nicole going to have a breakdowm after casa amor.I feel like she is not psychologically tough enough for the show.
some of them , the boys especially, really haven't had hardly any airtime .

TheDutchHouse · 28/06/2024 11:03

Donnie reminds me of that film with Tom Hanks , where he's a boy trapped in a man's body !
Also LOL at Will stitching himself up at the recoupling Confused

Rollergirl11 · 28/06/2024 11:15

I assume with Donnie you mean Joey @TheDutchHouse? 😂

CellophaneFlower · 28/06/2024 11:15

I still cannot believe the audacity of Joey. He literally may as well have said "yes Grace, that's right, I don't expect you to so much as chat to anybody else but I'm perfectly within my rights to get to know Jessy as she is very pretty and blonde. Obviously as I'm Joey Essex normal rules don't apply to me. Please just be grateful I've given you the time of day thus far".

Nasty little oik.

MargoLivebetter · 28/06/2024 11:24

I do chuckle a bit when bombshells get usurped by bombshells and then they are surprised / shocked / disappointed etc. Grace came in and took Samantha's place with Joey. She came in and did what bombshells' do and stole a guy from someone else. Then the exact same thing happened to her and she is all indignant!

I don't dislike her at all and think that from what they are showing she is acting with dignity, but how can she be surprised that Joey would do to her what he also did to Samantha!!!!

I'm always amazed that this particular sequence of events in Love Island results in surprise. I am more surprised when it doesn't happen. 😂

Parrotseatthemall · 28/06/2024 11:29

I think he's sexually attracted to Grace but maybe he's looking for someone more homely to settle down with..the something missing perhaps? Who knows though..

OneWorldly4 · 28/06/2024 11:39

Jess is awful. I've never disliked a LI contestant as much as I dislike her. I loved her attempt to cheers 'the nice people' and she was ignored by half the housemates.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Mimi? She's cool, calm and collected. Doesn't get involved in the bitch fest but stands up for someone when need be.

Joey has done himself no favours coming on LI.

Bring on CASA. Cannot wait.

ReadyTeddy1000 · 28/06/2024 11:43

I've finally caught up!

I love Harriett and I love Ronnie. Neither of them are perfect and have both been arses, but they're daft and ditsy and there for fun.

Funny seeing Ronnie as a changed man for Tiff, but hasn't seem in the slightest bit concerned that she's not there now 😅

Jess is awful. And that licky kiss thing is grim.

I don't get that he's after "deeper" conversation? It's Joey Essex ffs 🤣🤣

ReadyTeddy1000 · 28/06/2024 11:44

I quite liked the "it'll either be a lesson or a blessin'"

Agreed.

ReadyTeddy1000 · 28/06/2024 11:48

Ronnie was also great when Ciaran and Harriett had their spat. He immediately told C that wasn't cool and had a chat about it.

I actually feel like Jess looks even worse than she actually is, when beside the others calling each other out.

I actually didn't like that convo. Ronnie basically told Ciaran he had to apologise to make it easier for him as he was stuck in the middle, despite agreeing that they'd both said things. I'm so glad Ciaran stuck to his guns.

Yeah fair point. Altho there's often that attitude from guys, that if they upset a woman, that's the worst thing

ReadyTeddy1000 · 28/06/2024 11:59

Also, Eggy Boff? Wtf? 😅

When they first started playing it, I thought it was called Eggy Bob 🤦😂

Agreed. Ronnie just wanted Ciaron to apologise to Harriet for an easier life for him. He doesn’t genuinely care about the comment or Harriet’s feelings. When Ciaran asked if Harriet was also going to apologise to him I thought fair play. He’s easily one of the most level headed islanders.

I’m not even that convinced Harriet was that upset by it. I actually couldn’t tell if she was laughing or crying. And there were zero tears. I think as another poster said the other day she was going to ignore the comment initially but was forced to react when Matilda made Ciaron repeat it.

The whole thing with Joey is really cringe and icky now. He’s 34 FGS, he needs to have some self respect and act his age. He 100% isn’t looking to settle down. And all this “oh you’re trouble you are”, like he can’t control himself around a pretty blonde is bad enough when it’s a young 20 something lad saying it. But someone his age? It’s grim as fuck. Get him out.

sweetpickle2 · 28/06/2024 12:13

I think Ciaran should have apologised- "sorry I made you cry with personal comments in front of everyone, I stand by what I said but I'm sorry it came out like it did". No need to backtrack on what he said, but ganging up on her like that was uncalled for.

I've watched it back and he is so tense throughout the game, clearly worried that he's going to do something that upsets Nicole again, so I think it was just misdirected anger. Not necessary, and not Harriet's fault.

Yes.
Nicole is really becoming a huge problem for Ciaran.

sweetpickle2 · 28/06/2024 12:26

Also Nicole being like "its not that deep its just a game" like she hasn't been giving Ciaran hell after every other game, just when it's aimed at Harriet it's fine.

If you want to talk two-faced!!

Edited

I completely agree with this.

From what I can see, Grace is pro-actively trying to turn the girls against Jessy for doing exactly what she did to Samantha. She’s now getting a taste of her own medicine.

Well done to Mimi for putting her in her place and stating the obvious, that’s Jessy is being a bombshell & doing what bombshells do!

kerstina · 28/06/2024 12:36

I suppose you could say that Jessy comes across as a bit more vulnerable than Grace who seems very confident and holds her own very well . I said to my DH I think she would be the boss if Joey does settle down with her.
The way Joey acts to Grace also proves it doesn’t matter how beautiful and confident you are if the man can’t be faithful. He will always be looking around.
