People can have £23 000 in assets before they need to pay care home fees so the money in the IVF account would be disregarded if it was her only asset.

The writers have messed up this story because as mentioned, even if Debbie was a millionaire, she’d get her care paid for anyway by the local authority.

If Reiss chose that particular care home in preference to what he was offered on the NHS he might have to pay? But the numbers don't add up at all. If he has supposedly used all the money up for the IVF surely there wasn't much left anyway? I know IVF is expensive but it's nothing like the money needed for care home fees for the next few years.

The whole Reiss storylines are rubbish and his hard to warm to. Sonia just wants a child and doesn't care much about the details or his wife either. They are both just deluded and once Sharon finds out his been fleecing her , he'd better watch out ! ( Phil invested in the gym too, so his fleecing him too)

Reiss is a rubbish character. I don't see any point to him at all. There's nothing likeable about him.

It seems as if they've been heading for a Reiss storyline for a while but now it's here it's a rubbish one. If that wife wakes up, I don't really feel there will be any credibility left in EE at all. Or will he try and kill her as a way out? I feel they are painting themselves into a corner with the whole storyline and there will be no plausible way out.
