Long term feeding is done via a gastronomy tube - direct into the stomach through the tummy. So you wouldn't necessarily see the tube. However there was also no sign of a drip stand and pump which would be next to the bed.

Peg tube isn't it - I have a ng baby at the moment who may go to peg feeding as she likes to pull it out

I'm not sure how long insurance pay offs take, but I suspect you are probably right. Then again either it's Eastenders and you get a stack of cash handed to you straight away or Reiss is an idiot and hasn't thought that through.

Judging by my MiL, who died in hospital post being taken by ambulance from home, habing loads of underlying health conditions, and family agreed to stop the machines in the presence of doctors, but they still needed a post mortem and further coroner input, 4 months.

Very stressful all round. But this is EE so probably tomorrow.
