I’m not sure if anyone has already posted this but The Split is returning for a two parter later this year which I’m SO happy about. I love it, the clothes, the houses, characters, storylines, everything in fact. Just wish it wasn’t only two episodes. Then, apparently, there’s going to be a spin off called The Split Up about a legal firm in Manchester. I don’t know anything apart from that so not sure how it will be in comparison. Hopefully just as good although you cannot beat Nicola Walker’s acting.

So lovely to see so many of the original cast again. This is amazing 👏

Really enjoyed it, so good to watch something about families, not murders or crime tales. And there were some very funny moments too!

I am going to play the Grinch and say that I found it utter contrived tosh. And inconsistent storylines. I guess we can't discuss it here bcos spoilers, but let me just say that Gael was Argentinian. Not Spanish.

They aren't doing any more series of the Split. There is supposed to be a spin off series featuring another firm of lawyers though, written by the same writer.

It was easy watching with a happyish ending.

I was disappointed and kept fast-forwarding. Beautiful setting but bonkers story. Had Nichola Walker really upset someone in wardrobe? - I used to love her clothes in the last series - but that blue dress. Loved Stephen Mangan but thought he was looking very tired and thin or maybe he was just struggling with the script. A pity - even as a comfort watch on new years eve afternoon it wasn't really worth it.

I don’t think you can beat the original cast, everything about the show is amazing but I will watch the spin off.

Is there anyone here that enjoys it who has been though a divorce? Just asking as I tried watching a couple of years ago but was maybe too soon after my own and I found it tricky. Wondering if I was particularly sensitive

I had completely forgotten about this and was looking for something to watch so am starting it again 😀

Bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I hope it's more like the regular series and less like the bafflingly terrible Spain 'special'.

I'm such a Nicola Walker fan, I even enjoyed the Spanish spin off that everyone seemed to hate!
