I am looking forward to tonight, although events unfolding today have sullied things a bit.

But I hope to enjoy it- and stay awake.

I'm struggling to get excited for tonight now that Netherlands are out, it was by far and away my favourite song

Perhaps the one silver lining is that plenty of Joost's votes should be diverted towards Croatia now, which might help them hold Israel off the top spot.

Peel a clove of garlic, slice in half wait 10 mins (for allicin to develop) then put cut side on tooth, bite gently down .
It may hurt as garlic is spicy! But you should get some relief.
Also try a teaspoon salt in warm water, hold over bad tooth.
I hate toothache!

I've been avoiding all the hoo haa, and will be enjoying this evening for what it is......batshit crazy, flamboyant and another fun evening of Eurovision.

Netherlands and Croatia are both among the favourites. If only one competes then that makes it more likely Croatia will get higher points than if they both competed eg if a country would have given Netherlands 12 points and Croatia 10 now Croatia will get the 12 points.

However it's a bit of a stretch to say that Netherlands' withdrawal is "because Israel". You can kind of make a link, but it's a stretch.

It was me that said 'because Israel'; I was referring to something in another post where someone had seen people being encouraged to vote tactically for Croatia to make sure Israel didn't win (I assume as they were the country with a good chance of winning already).

I can't be any more help than that as it could have been in any one of the current threads and I can't remember which, but I'm guessing this was on Twatter or similar which I don't use. I'm not that interested in the Netherlands carry on tbh, because I didn't like the song anyway .
