Winters over. Whew.

Missed the first 10 minutes so James' younger brother freaked me out a bit. Rez and Ruby?
Is there literally no one else in London that will go out with them.
I imagine the idea of a sex therapist is utterly appalling to the French.

As a mother who has experienced the baby years I was not impressed with James.

Maeva just wants some sleep, sex is not a priority for her at the moment, she doesn't need a sex therapist.

Perhaps give her a lie in on a weekend and take the baby to the park.

Also, stop telling her she's put plastic in the wrong bin. Move it yourself if you're that bothered. I'd go on a sex ban for that alone.

jay55 · 16/04/2024 16:53

I can't believe they are still on the show whilst having a young baby.

Doje · 16/04/2024 21:39

Binge watching episodes 1 & 2 this evening!

I bloody love Maeva. I'm feeling like she's vocalising my baby years. Thankfully my DH is not a wanker like James (although I think he's playing up for the cameras somewhat...)

PieonaBarm · 16/04/2024 21:48

What channel is this on?

Windysquall · 16/04/2024 22:12

What’s happened to them all? It’s like they’ve had personality transplants - having proper grown up conversations rather screaming at each other. Lauren in particular seems very different.

Windysquall · 16/04/2024 22:24

The whole sex therapist stuff must have been for the cameras, it was too weird. She was clearly exhausted.

Wishimaywishimight · 17/04/2024 10:02

What was the whole Yaz / Sam palaver? She just pretended she hadn't known he went back to someone's house after the wedding so the whole "who was it?", "I don't remember" row was all fake in front of the others? What was the point in the whole pretence if Yaz was just going to come clean the very next day??

Why is Yaz, a stunning young woman, so desperate to hang on to the shagmonster that is Sam? He is a peculiar looking (at least his hair is back to normal), charisma-less serial cheat!

Freddie is just a silly little boy. Trying to warn Miles off Jazz - bonkers, Miles couldn't keep a straight face!

I'm quite liking Tristan again. Not sure what Lauren is at - is she just not into him? Surely she was the one chasing him in Australia. All if this 'I'm afraid of commitment' always sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me.

Temps has totally grown on me, they really need to fix him up with someone nice.

As for Rez and Ruby, seriously, let it go guys!!

CharlotteLightandDark · 17/04/2024 14:00

I don’t think Ruby wants to get back with Rez but also doesn’t want to be alone so gives him the impression she’s entertaining it. Bad idea really but happens quite a lot with exes.

Yas and Sam are trying to lunch a foodie podcast together, also he’s clinging onto her because she’s rich af. Fuck knows what’s in it for her though. They deserve each other frankly.

Marchintospring · 18/04/2024 20:04

Agree.

Sex is not a priority when you have a baby to integrate into family life. Give the new dynamic time to work itself into the mix.

Half the cast are so young and brand new to the series whilst the other half are still going over very trodden ground. It's not as cohesive as it used to be.

I can!

Wanttobehappy321 · 23/04/2024 22:40

I’ve just seen the preview for the next episode. Ruby crying over Rez kissing someone yet has already gone out with someone herself. She’s really winding me up with her double standards!

Majorityofthree23 · 01/05/2024 09:49

This really is a very dull series so far....but
Ruby and Rez really need to move on but maybe outside Chelsea?!?
Muffin lovely but maybe a little young for Tristan who I think wants to settle down
Harvey seems more sorted than any of them.
Lauren has a point but heavens her voice is hard to listen to.
Max Vanderpump (nephew I think of Lisa RHBH) has very worrying hair!
Why oh why do I still watch it?????

DasAlteLeid · 03/05/2024 15:52

Binge watched four episodes today - don’t know how I didn’t lapse into a coma! So dull. Ruby and the garden gnome still drivelling on years after they bit the dust! Gargoyle Princey and the seemingly lobotomised Yas having the same old arguments too! Felt like I’d accidentally stuck a season from 2022/23 on.

highlights - watching Lauren lose her shit over Tristan after giving him the Spanish archer for the past six months. Muffin looking on like some kind of sweet-faced puppy. Laughing over this new Vanderpump character’s whole look. He and Hugo look like a pair of power-dressed mums at the school gates circa 1987 with their bouffed and highlighted hair and Vander-pumped up face 😅

Had to look away when Rez started chomping on Tina’s face at the dining table 🤢

DirtyDensDog · 03/05/2024 16:14

Lauren's voice is unbearable to my ears.

Wanttobehappy321 · 06/05/2024 08:56

The whole Ruby / Rez saga is cringy. It’s clear Ruby doesn’t want Rez but is happy to keep him dangling because she knows how he feels about her and for her own entertainment purposes. I think Rez is arrogant and not particularly nice but I actually feel a little sorry for him , Ruby is never going to commit or allow him to move on. Break the cycle Rez!

Marchintospring · 07/05/2024 18:10

I have no words about R&R. Mostly because they were all said the last 125 times they " gave it another go/ broke up"

Not believing believing Tristan's and Muffins romance. The bloke that went out with the indomitable Liv Bentley and internationally acerbic Lauren .Why is he now interested in someone that looks like they just got out of 6th former.

I don't even get the Miles and VDP storyline. Both are players. No one cares who ends up with who.

Sadly I am too old. Only in it for the clothes now.

sweatervest · 07/05/2024 18:23

ruby and rez are massively boring. i really don't give two hoots if they end up together and yawn.
also is olivia coming back do you think? ditto mark francis??

muffin looks younger than my 2yo guinea pig tbh.

and yas and sam prince look like the parents of the group at the moment. wtf.
i am and will be forever mic's number one fan though
also vanderpump rules is on netflix soon/now so i can't wait for that. heart all things pump tbh.

WaystarRoy · 07/05/2024 19:54

Ruby does like everything to be all about her doesn’t she…. Having found the set-up to the inevitable riverside talk unbelievably contrived, I found what Rez had to say an accurate summary of the situation and not as cringy as some of these chats have been.

when MIC started it was all focussed on a group of people who actually knew each other, now it is a weird set of people who have to pretend to be friends apart from the odd exception (Temps and Miles etc). It does have flashes of potential, but they need to find more cast members like Binky, Liv, Maeva, Mytton and Spenny to reach the heights again.

Wanttobehappy321 · 08/05/2024 22:12

Just watched this weeks MIC, never would I have thought I’d agree with what Reza has said to Ruby, he’s 100% correct, she will never be genuinely in love with him, she couldn’t even look him in the eye or say something believeable like “I love you and I want you back” - it’s all about her and how she feels. I have a feeling they will end up in bed together at some point but I like the fact Reza is seeing her clearly being manipulative for the first time, I do genuinely feel sorry for the bloke. Tina isn’t right for him but neither is Ruby.

Agree with previous poster about Muffin and Tristan, seems like he’s trying to force it, he’ll get bored eventually, he needs the drama that is Lauren or Liv, I miss Liv being part of MIC.

Not convinced about Miles and Jazz either …

NewMe2024 · 08/05/2024 22:29

90% is now manufactured by the cast to propel their influencer careers, which wasn’t a thing when it started. I still can’t stop watching it though.

Some questions. First, what is up with Lauren’s voice? Is it natural or is there some kind of underlying cause for it being so weirdly nasal? How did Tristan cope with it? Second, and this is honestly not meant to be bitchy, but is Yas really gorgeous to people in general? I see her as attractive but not in the same league as Caggie, Binky, Louise, etc. Obviously beauty is subjective and Yas is raved about so much that I wonder if it’s just me that doesn’t see it. Sam’s mum was weirdly dumbstruck when she met her.

I feel for Reza and hope things work out for him with Tina. He seems really into her but I worry that lesser characters begin relationships just to get more air time. Ruby really needs to leave him alone now. And which bridge is it that they all meet on? Battersea??

CurrentHun · 09/05/2024 09:47

Yaz is so gorgeous and seems a nice person. I have absolutely no idea how she stays with toxic Sam Prince. He’s really unable to leave things alone it seems. Hope she wakes up to it all soon.

I was happy to see Lauren stop being so hostile to Muffin at Tina’s party. It felt like an amazing change from Lauren having been so like that previously, so a good thing for her personally. It also in general presented a good departure for the series’ way of presenting the women on it, where the girls are often portrayed as irrationally crazy and jealous or attractive and laid back.

EasternStandard · 09/05/2024 09:50

Brilliant

I really like Jaz and Muffin (I know re name)

Love that Tristan is happier and Lauren losing it with nastiness has to move on

The Ruby Rez thing! Tina is great but my god Ruby is manipulative

He’ll lose his heart again

CurrentHun · 09/05/2024 09:50

Tristan seems suddenly really into having a girlfriend who is very nice and not his equal at all in her experience of relationships. Hmm. Not sure about the power dynamic there. Seven year age difference.

Tina seems so genuine about Rez. I hope it’s reciprocated.
Ruby is nice enough but she’s behaved really oddly over Rez getting a girlfriend. I have every sympathy for her because it’s not nice feeling afraid about her own relationships future, but Rez seems 100% right with his analysis of the situation. Most people wouldn’t have entertained the whole Ruby ringing up during Tina’s party and demanding an instant meeting thing in the first place though, so maybe there is more to it on his side than he’s letting on.

I was getting a bit baffled by why they keep harping on about their ten year long relationship on and off. Then I googled and it turns out they got together when Ruby was 16 and Rez was ten years older. That puts a whole other spin on the situation and the emotional entanglement of it from her side making it much more understandable why she feels that way. I feel really sorry for her now. From his side, putting it politely it’s such a massive abuse of power to go for a girl who’s about ten years younger and to start a relationship when she’s 16.
The difference in their life experience is so vast and it will always be but so specifically when one partner is at that very young age.

BlackStrayCat · 09/05/2024 10:13

Oh!
My DD is 16.
Crikey, that puts a different perspective on it.
I really do not like Ruby but I feel mean now.

Agree with PP though, it was a million times better back in the old days. I just watch it on catchup because I start work late on Tuesdays.

Wishimaywishimight · 09/05/2024 11:03

I do think Yaz is really beautiful. I saw her recently on an episode of 'Rich kids go skint' on MTV, it was a few years ago and she seemed like a really nice person and very naturally pretty.

Ruby is like a toddler who is bored with a toy but doesn't want anyone else to play with it.

Tristan looks (down, literally) fondly on Muffin as though she's a little sister or niece so to see them kissing is just weird. How anyone can even say that ridiculous name without smirking is beyond me.

Temps has totally grown on me over the last couple of seasons, he somehow looks better these days and just seems like a pretty decent, down to earth person.

I quite like Jazz but like all of Miles's women she just falls at his feet and tries to be who or what he wants. The only person who ever challenged him and really intrigued him, was Maeva.

The new chap is quite strange looking, really has no chat whatsoever and just does not fit the whole MIC vibe at all.

Lauren and Hugo really need to get together and enjoy some nasal whining in tandem!
