Missed the first 10 minutes so James' younger brother freaked me out a bit. Rez and Ruby?

I agree it was rubbish. I hopefully keep watching MIC but they don’t seem to be able to allow storylines that don’t revolve around getting together and then the male partner cheating. So it’s really boring to watch and the production team just seem to shorten the life cycle of each relationship so there’s no character development and nothing for a viewer to become invested in.

The cast members must have all gone out with at least three people in the cast each now. Exception that proves that rule: James and Maeva’s married sex life storyline, which saw them going to a sex therapist after they had a baby and she was knackered, for fucks sake, but even that’s a recent development.

There’s way too much plugging of brands and products. There’s no self awareness in the production team, in the real world people would be wondering why Reza who was 26 getting together with 16 year old Ruby is still even in the show, rather creating a tedious main storyline of the series around ‘will they or won’t they’ get together.

Agreed. And they seem to go off abroad and find some random there to drag back to London only to cheat on them once home. Every single season.

I'm not sure where the next holiday will be though as they've been to most of the typically glamorous ones already. Needs to somewhere they can drink and swim and waft around in very few clothes. Sardinia or Puglia?

Some massive pile in the West Country for the ubiquitous themed party that someone pointedly won't have an invite to but will turn up anyway.
It needs a new girl called Fizz or Widge or Frazzle and obviously a new gay couple.

Maybe it's run its course. I'm sure in the older series there were more friendship storylines? They seemed to do more fun stuff.

Now I feel it's really over produced, they've been dressed by a whole team and doesn't seem genuine

I'm on episode 2 and really confused by the Sam and Yas thing. He seemed genuinely peed off when the thing came up. Yas acted like she didn't know and even said why should she talk to him. He took off his microphone and walked out.

Then the next day she says she knew.

It's bloody weird.

The Ruby and Rez thing is so weird! She seemed like she really wanted him but now clearly doesn't and he's dumped lovely Tina for her. She must feel awful but good on Rez for seeing it.

Ruby is a bitch - she deliberately split up Rez and Tina just to prove she could. I don’t believe she ever really wanted him back

I think she convinced herself, yeah. But deep down she knew she wasn’t into him and still chose to screw up his chance to move forwards. He seemed really happy with Tina and Ruby couldn’t cope with losing her comfort blanket.

It all started when he was getting close to Bella - she had to ruin that for him and make sure he put her before Bella. If she had really wanted him back she would have got back with him then before he even started seeing Tina. She just does t want him settling down with anybody else.

They've just announced 'Beyond Chelsea' with Binky, Rosie and Lucy about what their lives are now with a nod to the original show.

I think the original cast had a lot more about them. They looked like they had lives beyond dating. I’ll watch.

@Rumforme it got terrible reviews/ratings in Australia apparently and is unlikely to get a second season.

I did watch the first episode and thought it wasn't that bad but I had no interest whatsoever in watching the next episode.

Pretty cast, nice scenery but I wasn't invested in any of the characters

I'm watching Bondi and finding it painful. The characters are painfully self aware and it's clearly just kids doing what kids do. MIC had a bit of gloss and unreality about it.
Why has no one picked up on Lawsons terrible voice. It's horrible the way he speaks , really artificial. Wouldn't last 5 minutes in the U.K.
