I wish Jen wasn't in it. Why did she want to know what happened to Happy's family?

Did you watch series 1? If so you will remember how she got to know Happy and as it turned out Gerry who was a long time friend. She had initially seen Happy as a good example of if you are the police and have to take someone to hospital it could mean your whole shift is just waiting in A&E.

Being with Happy and Gerry taught her so much as (because of her family background?) she hadn't realised the long term impact on people.

This wasn't about politics. This was about giving Happy some sort of resolution and in a way to carry on what Gerry used to do which is keep an eye on him.

No doubt there are many families still living with the trauma of lost relatives etc..

His family would not have been killed if the informer had been listened to, but the politics of the time was to save the informer even if others suffered as a consequence.

Completely agree.

It also made me think of Noah Donohoe & his poor family still suffering in the same way.

Just finished the final episode. Fantastic series. I really enjoyed the whole series. Glad that this one had a happy ending even if was slightly cheesy and twee. Really likes seeing the relationship between Grace and Stevie develop. Surely there will be a third series?

Somehow got it into my head that Charlie from Casualty would turn out to be Jen’s father - perhaps that is something for the next series.😂

Just finished S2 tonight.

I reckon Lee will be alright - he'll get a job as a social media content creator - did you see the speed with which he edited that video and sent it out - the boy's got skills!

On another note, I need to Google what percentage of people in NI have blue eyes as I think they got every single one in the programme.

Living in Belfast, we enjoy location spotting too!

Absolutely fabulous series but not long enough.

The police knew from their informers there was going to be a bomb and did not intervene to stop it so Happy's father and brother died.
There was collusion between the RUC, the British army and Loyalist terrorists.
