Detectorists shaped hole to fill…

I recently binge watched the Detectorists twice. I have fallen in love with it.

I am now in serious mourning, and looking for something to fill the gap.

Is there anything around on BBC iPlayer/Netflix, which might fill the hole in my life? I'm looking for something with a similar feel…

I've already watched ghosts.

Please help!

YY to Our Flag Means Death - it has the same gentle undertone of kindness that Detectorists does. Highly highly recommend.

Or Parks and Recreation, which is also fundamentally kind-hearted.

I just love the song from Detectorists, so relaxing

Prob common knowledge but the song was written performed by Johnny Flynn. He has albums out I believe. He is now big in the movies. Good looking too.

I saw Johnny Flynn live about 15 years ago before he was into acting so much. He has a lot of albums and they’re all great.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much we're enjoying Ted Lasso (late to the party!). Kind and lovely characters -such a great antidote to all the nastiness on TV at the moment.

Ech everyone else

Motherland
Mum
The Goes Wrong Shows
IT Crowd
Black Books
Mum
Derry Girls
Don't Forget the Driver

The Change on More4 - similar country vibe, set in the Forest of Dean and has lots of well known actors.

Agree with this and Bridget Christie is great. It feels very hazy, like the Detectorists.
