I think that's a really unfair comment about Ash. He looks like a rabbit in the headlights to me... what the fuck am I caught up in? What's going on? Type of look.

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2024 08:03

I agree, definitely can't believe what he's hearing.

Ash, married to the lunatic/medium has the cold eyes of a serial killer. He is the least shaggable human I have ever laid eyes on.

Aww poor bloke. Whilst I don’t find him attractive, I don’t think he looks evil. His eyes look like rabbit in the headlights - terrified!

And I don't blame him - poor bloke. She's probably far from the idea of what he/most prospective husbands are looking for. I can't see this relationship going any distance. 🌹

I think Ash is more of a raccoon looks-wise - something about the scared wild eyed look that keeps happening, as if he's been caught in someone's bin.

I just thought he was threatening Jonno, implicitly, that he wouldn't be part of the bro group if he spoke out against Jack. He's a manipulative person. He will also manipulate other men by appointing himself as alpha male, belittling their masculinity and excluding them from the pack if they don't know their place.

I agree and the deafening silence from the other blokes gave him the power to do that!

MaggieFS · 22/03/2024 08:27

Yes he really was. An evil manipulative bully. Choose between your wife, or me.

I don't think Jack has specific dirt on Jono, he just spies an easy target. And Jono unfortunately made the wrong call. Perhaps he's hopeful he's got a better chance of patching things up and explaining himself to Lauren later on, rather than face an onslaught from Jack.

The more I think about, the more I'm ashamed for just calling him spineless last night. He should have stated the facts of what was said, but I do have sympathy for the situation.

bookmarket · 22/03/2024 08:37

I wonder if Tim feels more comfortable opening up to Tristan because Tristan is light-hearted and brings the humour to every situation. It's easier than opening up to someone who will give him pitying looks and want to mother him.

TheGhostOfKatesProlapse · 22/03/2024 08:38

The psychology of the bro code is so weird. They must realise Jack will be seen as a nasty manipulating arsehole, so how has he become alpha and why would they want to be friends with someone that everyone will call out for the horrid shit they say and do. Of all the places to pick your friends wisely... Why do men think having a friend like Jack is better than a wife, who as Lauren says, will give them sex and go through life with them? Being friends with Jack doesn't seem to come with any benefits; he's not going to give good advice, he is boring as hell, he is a liar and a narc, he isn't kind or thoughtful...what is the point of having that in your life? His lobster muscle?

WhisperGold · 22/03/2024 08:40

Same reason most women didn't call Sara out last week.

Tempnamechng · 22/03/2024 08:40

Allessandra's comment about Jono bowing down to the Alpha were spot on. That was embarrassing to watch.

TheGhostOfKatesProlapse · 22/03/2024 08:44

WhisperGold · 22/03/2024 08:40

Same reason most women didn't call Sara out last week.

But at least Sara does stand up when something isn't right and tells her friends - there's a good reason to be her friend because of this. She was aggressive last week and has actually taken advice to heart and adapted.
Jack doesn't do anything but lie, look smug and bully the guys into being his minions.

browneyes77 · 22/03/2024 08:44

Torturedsoul · 21/03/2024 21:41

I did wonder if perhaps Lobster has some dirt on Jonno from the same conversation in the gym. He may have been equally despicable and knows that Lobster could call him out too.

Good shout.

Maybe he’s cottoned onto the fact that Jonno clearly fancies Ellie….🤔

OP posts:
dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2024 08:46

Or Jonno's actually told him this and he's using it as a stick to beat him with? Shitbag.

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2024 08:46

If Jonno was really into Lauren, I think he'd have backed her up.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 22/03/2024 08:50

Definitely primary school playground vibes between Jono and the lobster

He is top
Dog and jono needs to keep in the pack. Lord knows why but its ingrained. The better thing to say if he really couldn't stick up for Lauren and himself tbh as it was his gossip In the first place is

"We will have to agree to disagree".

I wish Jayden who speak up. I can't imagine lobster daring to shout him down.

Knitgoodwoman · 22/03/2024 08:57

Lauren had said Jono isn’t strong enough for her and he demonstrated that last night.
Jack has said several times he doesn’t find tori attractive, Tim brought it up, he said it the ixpert in the work shop. I don’t know why it’s being avoided by the others?! Poor Lauren left to try and call out this prick on her own.
I’m glad he said to put a muzzle on her as his mask is slipping and the real jack is coming out. Tori has just turned into a pathetic cling on, sad to see with the strong woman that went in there. You can watch the manipulation and you can see how women end up in coercive relationships. He gives her little kisses when she does something right, like a dog.

Catlord · 22/03/2024 09:19

I wasn't surprised big Tim didn't get involved. Not sure who else was there. He tried last week and it only caused him bother with Lucinda and Tori kicked back.

Ridge seeming quite pleasant and good fun away from his silly pals.

Michael straight in with the drama!! I feel that Stephen is a really nervous soul and may make heavy weather out of everything, sweet though he is.

Lauren is fabulous. Johnno is a milksop who does not deserve her. It was about defending Tori as well as Lauren. He let both down. I expect Lauren will give him a chance rather than write 'leave' immediately, but it will put her off.

Poor Ash. What the hell has he signed up for?!! Madeleine is genuinely either acting her bollocks off and trolling the programme or needs MH support. I would be so interested to know what Ridge will make of her as a psych nurse.

Catlord · 22/03/2024 09:24

Our a bit of both re Madeleine

TheGhostOfKatesProlapse · 22/03/2024 09:27

Yes I was surprised Madeline held it all together last night as technically that would be triggering and has made me feel maybe it is all an act rather than an actual MH issue. She seemed far less distracted and unwell last night which I don't think would be possible if she had an actual mental health issue; meeting so many new people in a noisy environment with so much drama going on. To me though that little look to the camera in the room when she was whining at him to sing for her was what made me feel it was actually an act. I'm going to hold judgement here for now.

Is it just me or is Jono looking like he has aged about 10 years? He looks more like 55 than 45 in the neck area, almost like he had dentures at one point too! How old is he meant to be?

We didn't see much of Ben and Jayden in the dinner party. I would have liked to see how Ben is acting after being confronted. It does feel as if there are too many people going in to get into much depth. Makes it so that they are causing drama to get picked up by the cameras, which is perhaps why they've done it.

NotDonna · 22/03/2024 09:38

They need ‘unseen bits’ on Friday night and the weekend so we can catch up with the other couples.

MagpiePi · 22/03/2024 09:39

I am wondering if they put a character like Jack in to highlight what men like him are really like. If they do, it is really shitty for the wife, but at least on this series the ixperts are calling him out more than they did with Harrison.

If what Jack said actually was the kind of banter that he has with Tori, she would have laughed it off when Lauren and Sara told her.

I can't see Ash and Maddie lasting more than a couple of weeks. She is beyond irritating.

Jade seems fixated more on being married rather than actually wanting a relationship. The 'I just want to be happy in front of my daughter', said while crying has worn thin already. And, I know you shouldn't judge, but her lips make her look really ugly. Same with Eden.

Tristan is either gay or ND. He is having to force himself to touch Cass.

Catlord · 22/03/2024 10:47

I'd laugh if jack is actually a sensitive thespian in fake teeth and a wig playing the role of his life to educate Australia about toxic masculinity!! This series is just stretching my credibility a bit far!!

Catlord · 22/03/2024 10:47

Credulity**
