Anyone watching Life After Life on BBC i-player? Adapted from Kate Atkinson's book - that I never read btw, and I'm loving it. Currently up to episode 2 and can highly recommend.

You're about two years late. It was discussed on here when it aired. I thought it was very well done and even the title sequence suggested it was going to be a classy piece of TV. Reminded me of the Night Manager in that respect.

It's next on my list after I saw a snippet on Tiktok. Looks really good.

Fantastic adaptation

@4intheCorner That is how I came by it too; a tiktok! Don't know how I missed it fitst time around. Watched #3 tonight and am really looking forward to the final episode.

It was great until the end where it seemed to miss the whole point of the book in my opinion.

I was going to start a thread about this, as although on one level I have enjoyed it, not sure about the conclusion.

I partly continued watching it because not only do I think it was really well staged, but thought all of the cast were really good.

That alone was a relief compared to some of the embarrassing series made recently where you start to think no one can act anymore.

I haven't had time to read the old threads but may try and find time to do that. Looks like the usual telly addicts situation 2 threads running at the same time!

Loved the book and loved this adaptation as well. So beautifully shot and acted.

I feel a bit dense but have to ask, what was the "message" of the film?

That we dont know how are life might turn out that we should just make the best of what we have got, or that we should make more of an effort to stand up for ourselves or ...

Much as I enjoyed watching it and really appreciated the really high standards by the end I was just a bit exasperated.

Just wondered what anyone else thought it was all about!
