I'm having a duvet day!

Any crime documentary recommendations?

I've watched Nicola Bulley and Sarah Everard recently. I have most tv options. Any ideas?

24hrs in police custody - channel 4
The Detectives: Taking down an OCG - three part series on iplayer. One of the best crime documentaries I’ve ever seen.
Met Police on iplayer

Pigeonqueen · 08/02/2024 08:55

I’ve seen so many but currently been watching TikTok Murders on ITVX and that’s been interesting.

bruffin · 08/02/2024 08:56

the Lori Daybell case Sins of Our Mother on Netflix

Thunderpunt · 08/02/2024 08:57

American Nightmare on Netflix

Isanyoneawake44 · 08/02/2024 09:15

It's not crime but on iplayer there's a programme called liar about a fake grooming scandal I found riveting

Boke · 08/02/2024 09:17

Faking it.

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 08/02/2024 09:24

Agree with the first poster about Taking down an OCG, The Met and 24 hours in police custody.

I'd add The Staircase and Keep Sweet on Netflix and Life and Death Row on iplayer.

I also really like Louis Theroux investigative docs like the Dark States and Life on the Edge series.

Have you seen the tinder swindler? There was another one I watched at the same time, can't remember the name right now, were a group of people believed they were being hunted and went into hiding. Can anyone remember the name?

determinedtomakethiswork · 08/02/2024 09:25

The very best one though is staircase. That will drive you nuts!

Also good is the Murdaugh Murders. Don't google that though because it's a current case.

These, also to add in the footsteps of killers and the jinx.

shreknjumps · 08/02/2024 10:00

I thought the staircase was utter shite, so obvious what had happened there right from the beginning! I just can't understand how it's documentary worthy at all.

Documentary wise, not true crime (although it should be criminal), Blackfish.

Forensics: Catching the killer on Sky Crime is really interesting

Oh you've just reminded me to watch this, thank you.

Troglo · 08/02/2024 10:23

Murder Trial on iPlayer. Three separate Scottish cases, each two episodes long.

minimiz · 08/02/2024 10:36

Netflix- Don't fuck with cats.

It's completely insane.

chocolaterevs · 08/02/2024 10:57

Ok, loads of suggestions thank you!

Blackfish - loved this and have watched it several times.

Tell them you love me - this was riveting. Completely different and crazy.

Turpin Family - just watched this on YouTube, thanks for the rec! So emotional.

Think I'll try The Detectives now. Keep the recs coming!
