I'm having a duvet day!

Any crime documentary recommendations?

I've watched Nicola Bulley and Sarah Everard recently. I have most tv options. Any ideas?

Netflix- Don't fuck with cats.

It's completely insane.

This is in my top 5!
Alongside abducted in plain sight and Long Shot on Netflix

Placemarking

Pigeonqueen · 08/02/2024 19:35

Not really a documentary as such but CourtTv on You tube is fascinating. You can really get sucked into all the different cases.

American Nightmare on Netflix

Yeah that was brilliant!

Have you seen the tinder swindler? There was another one I watched at the same time, can't remember the name right now, were a group of people believed they were being hunted and went into hiding. Can anyone remember the name?

@determinedtomakethiswork The Puppet Master?

24hrs in police custody - channel 4
The Detectives: Taking down an OCG - three part series on iplayer. One of the best crime documentaries I’ve ever seen.
Met Police on iplayer

Thank you so much for recommending this. What a gripping programme.

Lover, stalker, killer has just been added to Netflix.... looks good!! Giving off gone girl vibes!

Polecat07 · 09/02/2024 19:32

Sorry if already mentioned, but the Murdaugh murders one on Netflix, that was pretty shocking.

This.
My friend suggested we watch it when I stayed with her, and I was "I don't think so".
It was absolutely riveting.
Had to not look at the videos though.

Netflix: An American Nightmare

Just watched this and was gripped.

MinnieCauldwell · 09/02/2024 19:45

American Nightmare left me just raging, it reminded me of the Post Office scandal. The unfairness of it all and no one being prosecuted.

Isanyoneawake44 · 08/02/2024 09:15

It's not crime but on iplayer there's a programme called liar about a fake grooming scandal I found riveting

About Ellie Williams? Certainly was a crime, she's in prison.

Argh hope you get some sleep!

NooNakedJacuzziness · 09/02/2024 22:36

Wild Wild Country and Escaping Twin Flames are both brilliant (and completely bonkers)

Ellemeg82 · 09/02/2024 22:45

On bbc iplayer - Forensics The Real CSI

Missfelinemoo · 09/02/2024 23:48

Just watched Lover Stalker Killer and never fail to be shocked by how inept the US police are. Crazy!

On bbc iplayer - Forensics The Real CSI

Second this. The absolute best. Makes me want to retrain to work in forensics, despite the fact that I was shit at science 🤣

Desmondo2021 · 07/03/2024 16:51

Omg, have watched most of the above but thank you for the Turpin Family recommendation! It's incredible!

Pigeonqueen · 07/03/2024 16:59

The To Catch A Copper series on Channel 4 is really worth a look if you like true crime stuff. They follow the cases and investigations from beginning to end with footage etc. I found it fascinating.

TravellingIncognito · 07/03/2024 17:37

All on Netflix - Till Murder do us Part - absolutely gripping. Also - The Puppet master and Bad Vegan are great.
