@Turtlerussell if you Google 'origins of Werewolf game' you'll find info about the experiment.

When they have compelling reasons for wanting the money

I think if the reasons were that compelling, and likely to cause considerable distress if the contestant failed or were betrayed, it is unlikely the production team would have chosen them for the show in the first place.

Yes, if they need the dosh to pay a fine and keep themselves out of jail, I can't see the producers going for it.

museumum · 25/01/2024 19:51

The funniest thing about the “elusive” episode is that more than one person went on to justify/explain it by describing “evasive” behaviour😂
I think andrew meant elusive as Harry was at that time on his own in the kitchen but I can’t be sure if that was editing. Maybe he did mean evasive. After the Charlotte “convoluted” chat I just want to buy them all dictionaries.

ps. Who does zach work for? I’m slightly scared of the idea of him advising parliament

That makes it sound as if you just disapprove of the game if you don’t like traitors being good at it!

MaggieFS · 25/01/2024 19:52

I would also love them to have no interest in raising a profile. It's a shame they couldn't find people with zero links or exposure but at least none of these were very well none. I think it would sway things too much if people knew of each other beforehand and knew their true character.

@Turtlerussell - I’m sorry if you felt I was putting words in your mouth, it’s just that the “manipulates others for gain” comment sounded quite dismissive and judgmental when that is what some players are required to do if they want to win!

Maybe chess is a better comparison, I certainly feel like Harry is thinking several moves ahead and laying traps! 😁

I’m not going to be happy whoever is murdered tonight. Mollie being murdered would mean they continue to follow the pattern of just murdering women (plus Aubrey) which really isn’t great. I love Jaz and think he’s the best bet for a faithful win in the final. I also like Zack even though he clearly isn’t popular with most people. I felt the same about Maddy last year as well so apparently I happen to like people who are annoying. I’m not sure what that says about me!

My predictions:

Jaz to be murdered tonight - it would be the choice I would make as a traitor and I think he’s the most logical choice of the three.
Jasmine to be banished tonight - there’s already suspicion on her with the whole thing of not knowing that Harry had the shield plus they’ve got rid of 3 male traitors and one female traitor so far. I think they’ll assume one of the remaining women is a traitor.
That leaves a final 5 of Harry, Andrew, Evie, Zack, and Mollie. I think Harry will turn on Andrew at that point, Andrew will turn on Harry in retaliation and Andrew will be banished. Then they’ll assume they have all the traitors out and Harry will win. If they don’t think they have all the traitors out then I think they’re most likely to banish Zack next. Mainly because he annoys them rather than actually thinking he’s a traitor.

I do feel for Mollie if she doesn’t find out that Harry is a traitor until he’s taking all the prize money for himself. That’s going to sting for her.

RainbowSnake · 25/01/2024 20:24

I do wonder if any of them will pick up on how Ross revealed Diane was his mum. He said he was leaving them with an Easter egg which means it’s supposed to be a sort of clue. Unless they all just assume Ross doesn’t understand the phrase which is also entirely possible.

I think regardless of whomever is murdered tonight, I agree with your prediction for the final.

Traitors for the win.

Sorry, why is the phrase ‘Easter Egg’ a clue?

Also, Harry is under the spotlight now. Molly has become suspicious, and has found her voice.

Harry was fortunate that Ross and Zack got into a slanging match last night as it didn’t give anyone a chance for his name to be mentioned. Also, Ross then turned his attention to Andrew, who pulled a blinder with his lie.

I was thinking earlier what the memorable bits of this show would be. The shots I came up with were:
Ross’s wink
Pauls bow
Andrew’s lie
Diane ‘bye’
Diane ‘your wee shot’ on Uncloaked
Brian’s breakdown
Claudia coffin shutting
Claudia’s outfits

Agree with those, but add Diane’s “but Ross is” BOMBSHELL.

Turkeyhen · 25/01/2024 20:43

I didn’t interpret easter egg as a clue, just a hidden extra?

WhereAreWeNow · 25/01/2024 20:43

@museumum I interpreted Zach's job title to mean he does parliamentary affairs type work for a charity or other organisation, not that he's an adviser to an MP. But I could be wrong!

Riverlee · 25/01/2024 20:44

Paul and Harry both strategised and thought a couple of steps ahead, which is their strengths. Unfortunately for Paul though, he didn’t consider every scenario and thought himself to be popular and trustworthy, so safe. Harry has now fallen into that trap.
