I persevered until episode three but gave up. Not only could I not follow it I also had to try and explain it to DH who kept dropping off and missing bits.

Snap Germaine. I didn't like HIM and I didn't like HER. And I didn't like the way they jumped into bed together after their mutual loss with another dying person in next room

I broadly understood it but am vague on details.

Two separate dodgy state projects: (1) experimental tagging of people with microchips; (2) (even more covert) genetically selective toxins, injected into certain ethnic groups.

The second of these resulted in a possibly accidental injecting of 1000 of the 10,000 experimentally tagged people.

Covert secret-service types running around trying to burn the 1000 resulting bodies.

At the end, when annoying Michael doesn't die, the secret service types are thrilled because it confirms that the toxin only kills Arabs, and is therefore an effective weapon.

Since the second covert operation is so very secret, the little psycho-terrier Russell was sent out to kill all involved (whilst pretending to be gooodie stepfather of dead aid worker.

no no no! I like all that grotty (sorry, My Eye), urban, despairy thriller stuff.

I did get a bit tired of the writer's blatant agenda. He's probably one of those tedious people who don't fill in their census form...

& she was one of those annoying pixie-ish women that loads of men go for (though not DH, thankfully).

TBH, DH gave up on it after 1 episode & we watched Lewis while Sky plusing. I never get what happens in Lewis either

I defected to Lewis too (and yes OK I was really after the scenery). Even tho' K Whately is such a grippingly bad actor.

I don't have a problem with carrying an ID card, I just don't see how it will solve anything as most things can be forged these days.

I like thrillers where you don't know what's happening, which is why I'm watching 'Damages'. I'm convinced it will end and I'll still be none the wiser.

I work from home and don't have water-cooler discussions where the glaringly obvious can be pointed out, so spend my time in bewildered speculation.

I'm scared that if I try to find out through on-line forum I'll waste even more of my time on TV related rubbish

Oooh yes, Damages. I like that as well, but I am gripped by the fear that if I look down to drink my tea, I might miss some 10 second flash back that is crucial to the plot. I watch it like I have entered into some sort of staring contest.
