I have started watching lost, I have made it to season 4 but I have no idea what’s going on & it’s just so weird/confusing? Is it worth carrying on? Or am I just going to get to the end and be as equally confused?

Stop now. I’m still furious about the time I sunk in to it for the shittiest ending ever.

Same! Pile of shite

One of the lone voices here... I loved it. Every series, every episode, including the final episode. It was a great ending.

I love Lost and rewatch it regularly. I will always love Lost. Always.

So many people say the ending was shit and I just don't get it or see it at all. Makes me mad! It was awesome.

But obviously, if by series 4 you're confused and struggling, then it's probably not for you.

Going against the grain on this... I love Lost. I loved it from the first episode and watched it religiously in its original run. I've also rewatched three times since then. For me, it's one of the most groundbreaking and incredible TV shows of the past 25 years.

I'll admit though that it's not without fault and many of those faults occur in the final season, although not (IMO) in the actual final episode, which is simply beautiful.

My own opinion, and observations from various friends and colleagues at the time is that a lot of people gave up after the first season and then tuned into the final episode hoping for a series of reveals and revelations. Most of the answers are revealed as the series progresses, and many of them are fairly subtle in their reveal.

All things considered, I have to say that if you are already on season 4 (probably the best of the run, I think) and feel you've not yet had answers and not sure if you should keep going, then you should probably stop. I'd always recommend Lost as a series worth trying though.

(tried to give opinions here without spoilers)

Me too I watched it in real time and two ir three times since. Id say if youre not enjoying it don't continue

The best but for me was the season 4/5 cliffhanger (I think that's the right season) I remember the surprise when I first saw it

I loved it and have rewatched it and enjoyed it all over again!

eurochick · 08/01/2024 19:15

I loved it but hated the ending.

BobnLen · 08/01/2024 19:21

I loved it and I think you should maybe skip to the last episode to see the ending as you have invested a lot of time in it

OldPodge · 09/01/2024 21:31

Loved it all.

LOST ENDING (spoilers) | Mumsnet

Sorry for being needy and hijacking, on my own on a spoiler thread if anyone would like to confirm I understood the end (even though I wasn't invested. Cheers).

Didn't want to chat on and spoil the "Lost watching 20 years later's" thread (as they might end up watching all seasons after all) but I never went be...
