Love Island All Stars...how will it work?

Just thinking most ex-islanders know each other i.e. attend same events, work for the same brands, have the same talent management etc so will it not be a bit awkward putting them together in a villa to build connections when they sort of already know each other?

I watched a couple of series, because DD was watching (older teen) and I wanted to see what it was like so watched with her.

It could hardly be more contrived if it tried these days (early series might have been less controlled). So I expect those returning will be those who are ready to play the game. And people will only tune in if either

a) someone popular is back in (like Ovie or Chris the Salmon from 2019)
b) they've never watched it before but are now old enough for their Mum to allow it

@CarpyDiem yes the earlier series were definitely much better! I struggled to watch the last few as very scripted

I'm not impressed by the line up to be honest. Looks a bit meh. I'm surprised Jake Cornish is going back in. He's probably the one I'm most looking forward to! Kaz is going in too. Wasn't Kaz besties with Liberty?

@Hawkerslife same, thought there would be a few bigger names...but there will be bombshells I guess! Seems like a lot from the same season, Kaz, Liberty, Jake and Toby all from series 7

Chris the Salmon is back in! He was such a late entrant last time that he never really got a chance.

Worried that the show's going to be all about Liberty and Jake though, which would be absolutely yawnsville

I see Hannah from series 1 is in it. She is the one who was coupled up with the lad who kept telling her he loved her more than Rainbow's and unicorns, then got engaged to him yeah? I find it hard ro recognise them sometimes as their appearances erm, change a bit.

I'd probably have scrolled past Jake as he's dark haired now so didn't recognise him. No doubt he will still be a cocky little shit.

Having said that, it will be interesting to see if any of them have learned from previous experience or whether they make the same mistakes all over again. I quite like Toby, so I'm hoping he will be a little bit less like a dog with two dicks. Of course the show is set up with temptation at the heart of it, so not sure if I'm expecting a bit much.

@CarpyDiem I think Chris is the only one so far that looks like he will bring the fun!

@RainbowZebraWarrior I only started watching from series 3 so don't remember Hannah, think there is also a guy from series 1?

I'm chuffed there's a new love island as I'll be recovering from surgery but I don't really see the point of this cohort. I hope it isn't awkward for Liberty, she deserves someone lovely!

Chris will be terrific fun but hasn't he aged out? I don't know if there's an official rule but I always assumed it was under 30s?

I recognised some and others had no clue, even for series I am sure I watched.
I wonder how careful and guarded they'll be.

There’s been people over 30 before and the one from series one is 33 as I googled her as never watched it only started from season 2

I think they've had the odd person over 30 here and there before but I think there will be more because it's all stars and if islanders were 26 when they originally went on and it's i.e. 5 years since their series then they'd be in their 30s.

Lots of the islanders going on have already been on Love Island games that was aired in the US in November. So seems a bit weird that they’re going in to the villa again literally 2 months later!
