Just thinking most ex-islanders know each other i.e. attend same events, work for the same brands, have the same talent management etc so will it not be a bit awkward putting them together in a villa to build connections when they sort of already know each other?

Upon googling, I can see there's a lot of talk online, about his 'apparent exit' but I wouldn't have known that in advance of tonight's show. This is the problem, now. Everything is all over the Internet in seconds.

I do not remember any of the previous love island threads having a spoiler alert? If you don’t want to see any spoilers maybe not a good idea to read the threads? Or stay off the internet altogether as I’ve seen it elsewhere

They didn't need them because people in general didn't post spoilers

If people want them, then yes of course that's fine.

But then there should be a warning should be in the thread title, because the unwary can't "unsee" it. And I really, really wish I hadn't seen it. Never assume that people on a thread are also reading the same gossip sites as you.

I would not be surprised if Jake left after being paired with Liberty. Must be quite traumatic after the grief he got from the public. Why would he want to put himself through that again?

Completely agree.

It really makes me question the self awareness of those who put themselves forward for LI. Especially those who have been on it before, and especially the likes of Jake. Surely you'd discuss it with family, friends, your agent? You'd weigh up the pros and cons, you'd think about worst case scenarios, and what might happen if you get a 'bad edit'

Also, the public pairing isn't a new thing. Why were they surprised at this? And Jake must surely have had a thought that the public would pair him with Liberty due to their history. What the hell did he actually think was going to happen?

It's like they all get Love Island Amnesia or maybe the £££ just do the talking, the exposure is too much to resist and they bury their heads in the sand

I agree @RainbowZebraWarrior. Especially if you get a villain edit. Maybe Jacques and Luca got better advice which is why they're not on the show again!

There's always been spoilers on these threads @GaroTheMushroom I agree, but if people want a spoiler warning there's no harm in it. I just don't want the spoilers/speculation to be removed from the thread as it's most of the fun!

Another one here who doesn’t mind spoilers and they have deffo been included in the past. Maybe just have the title edited and if someone is going to post something they’ve seen in the news/SM that hasn’t been aired then just start your post with a spoiler warning? I really like reading the gossip/speculation and I would hate to see this thread go the same way as the MAFS ones where you have no f*c king clue what you can and can’t say!

Fair enough but that’s what these threads have always been about just surprised people are shocked! It’s all over anyway.

As far as I’m concerned Chris is in a league of his own on that show. He’s head and shoulders above the others in terms of intelligence and wit. I’m glad to see he’s getting the appreciation he deserves!

I do wonder if Jake was sold a redemption arc by his agent, and realised straight away it wasn't going to happen. Especially as Liberty has Kaz in there while Jake doesn't seem to know anyone.

Probably just went on to get paid?

Chris is funny and entertaining but his yellow woollen tank top was hideous!

Very much feeling the love for Chris. (And to be honest, so we're most of the girls in the villa)

I don't think I saw the series he was on, so apologies if this is something that has already been pointed out, but he really reminds me of a young David Baddiel. (Who is lovely)

Chris was on series 5 which was probably one of the best as it had Maura, Molly Mae, Amber and Ovie. He came in quite late though (along with Ovie who was from Casa) and the public all wished he’d been in from the beginning.

I really think Chris should get some presenting jobs. He’s naturally funny and quick-witted- but he doesn’t monopolise the conversation. In fact, he facilitates the chats with a funny/controversial comment and makes the whole thing more interesting. I loved him in season 5 too.

I hope he gets together with Georgia H, they look like a reasonable fit and she has had a hideous time of it with her sleazy ex.
