We love watching the Julia Donaldson story on the BBC every year. This year’s was my favourite one yet, it was beautifully done and I did shed a tear or two.

Who else enjoyed it?

It was lovely - my eyes almost leaked twice.

I haven’t watched it yet, but I can recite tabby Mctatt from heart all the way through. My DD is 15.😬

I don't have DC today, ex sent a photo of him absolutely transfixed watching it though, so I'm hoping he'll want it on again tomorrow!

Loved it. One of my favourite Julia Donaldson books. Dc 11&13 loved it just as much.

I've not seen it yet but plan to later. Even the trailers look great.

It was lovely , can I also recommend Mog on Channel 4 too if you enjoyed this.. watched that earlier and it was so so lovely.

I watched TmcT by muyelf today. My favourite book when Dcs were young. They and DH were off sorting out carol cds and wine.

I loved it. Its a book we've had since DC was born and has always been my favourite!

Turns out I've been singing the tune ever so slightly wrong all these years though 😂

We loved it too, the DCs were persuaded to leave their presents and come to the table with the promise of watching it after, it did not disappoint!

It's my second Christmas without my two cats after they passed away. I loved this and Mog's Christmas. Reminded me of my furbabies and I have shed a few tears. Both lovely animations.

I watched this with DS (now 14) as this used to be one of his favourite Julia Donaldsons when he was little. We loved it, and he thought he'd forgotten the story but turned out he did remember after all.

It was lovely. Definitely no tears here 🤥

I loved it, even though Tabby McTat isn’t my favourite. I could never work out how the singing should go and I hate singing when I just want to read but it was just lovely.

Loved Mog as well, she will always be my favourite childhood cat.

Ah thank you, it is! I feel very fortunate. While I have DS majority of the time, I do get a 48 hour break at least twice a month (we are both flexible but have a rough schedule) which some of my married friends could only dream of, but with none of the aggro a lot of separated parents seem to experience!
I've missed DS so much today but I know he'll have had a brilliant time with his dad and grandparents, and that's what matters. I'll have my turn tomorrow 🥰

Monkey puzzle was the first book I ever read my DS as it was my favourite (work with children so already knew them all), I'd love that!
