Murder is Easy, again?

This new one is being plugged hard. Do we really want them to make another 1950s version? It was written before WW2 but I have not seen one set then.
We have 3 recent ones set in the 50s already I think.

It was awful. The "wokeness" is only a problem because it was tacked on, forced into a story where it was incongruous and badly done. The issues can be covered, the subjects explored - but do them justice - don't just pay lip service to them to tick a box - which was how this appeared.
It was a dull interpretation - no real energy or puzzle or fear or horror or suspense about the murders. A tedious parade of one dimensional characters.
