Halfway through London Rules - and I am aching with laughter …

This is just an appreciation post really. Fabulous cast, acting and overall delivery. I love it.

The flatulence is a fabulous weapon though.... Did you all see Lowden on Graham Norton?

Agree on other points re waiting for a week, Jack Lowden’s accent and the brilliance of Catherine Standish.

Have to disagree about Jack L's accent though; when I first watched it, not knowing him, I thought he sounded like he was trying to hide a Scottish accent. Googled him and lo and behold... He is adorable though. And he makes me laugh out loud. The facial expression when whatisname the security thug says the recording of his lecture will give him 'something new to wank over'
I almost never completely follow what's going on, but I don't care, I'm just along for the highly enjoyable ride.

I finished Book 6, ‘Joe Country’ about half an hour ago.

Determined to force myself to do a bit of life before plunging into Book 7, ‘Slough House’. (I have eaten, and wrapped three presents, and run up and down several flights of stairs today, but honestly almost nothing else but read …)

Too late for me! It did slightly change how I saw the on screen characters this afternoon.

The books are amazing. The series is an absolute joy.

While the books are completely addictive I’ve found myself needing a break before Book 8. The relentlessly gloomy world view was bringing me down a bit!

Though the little novella ‘Standing by the Wall’ is sparklingly well written - and necessary to the series.

They've finished fliming season four.

I've finished it all now (had another free trial, ths time with the Radio Times). Gary Oldman and the rest of the cast are sublime. I don't always understand what's going on, but I'm still entertained from start to finish.

That was a tiring last episode. Catherine needs stouter shoes.

I think they film two series at a time. After episode 5 I take back what I said about Duffy.

Absolutely brilliant, that's all I can say. The characters are so brilliantly developed, helped by casting such perfect actors to each role. Can't wait to watch the next episode, we are one behind!!

Binge watched the whole of season 3 last night. Absolutely perfect. Kristin Scott Thomas and Sophie Okonedo are both wonderful and to see two such brilliantly strong female characters go head to head like that was epic

Seen the first four episodes so far. Absolutely fantastic.

So … Should I bother with Bk 8, ‘Bad Actors’? A few reviews seem to suggest it’s not the best and might be a bit same-y. But I could do with some distraction.

Please advise!
