I read that the last episode before the Christmas break is on Dec 14th, can’t see where we’re heading with a cliffhanger this year.

Feel this is going to be a sad story.

Me too Sad

Raahh · 30/01/2024 13:57

Has she left hospital?

Raahh · 30/01/2024 13:58

Oh dearSad

LIZS · 30/01/2024 13:59

Would police really be out looking for her?

Raahh · 30/01/2024 13:59

Maybe best Scarlett keeps out of it.

Jess just wanted a last day to 'feel normal' Sad

Raahh · 30/01/2024 14:01

Poor Scarlett. This isn't her fault.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 30/01/2024 14:02

Poor Jess

Raahh · 30/01/2024 14:05

This is very sad.

Raahh · 30/01/2024 14:06

I get the dad is upset but he's really out of order. Scarlett didn't plan it.

I'm glad he's talking to her.

JoanChitty · 30/01/2024 14:08

I’m glad she had a bit of fun with Scarlett.

Ridemeginger · 30/01/2024 14:09

Poor kid.

Poor dad too, even though he’s being an arsehole.

Raahh · 30/01/2024 14:11

Oh no Sad

LIZS · 30/01/2024 14:11

Poor Scarlett

CoatOfArms · 30/01/2024 14:11

Well this is cheery.

Raahh · 30/01/2024 14:12

Scarlett will be wanting to stay in work next time.

MadisonAvenue · 30/01/2024 14:13

This is such a sad one.

Sad but well written and well acted.
The young actor who plays Scarlett has come a long way from her early days.

JL690 · 30/01/2024 14:17

Desperately sad one today 😢

Classic Doctors in the morning is also sad at the moment. Car crash death, rape and possibly a murder too. Not a cheery start to the day.

She was always very good in the Dumping Ground- I miss watching things like that with my dcs .

Binglebong · 30/01/2024 14:20

Scarlett made me cry. That's not meant to happen!

Well, some of these filler episodes are much better than others, that was a good one. I thought Jess was going to be shoplifting. Poor Scarlett, I agree she is a very good actress.

RockaLock · 30/01/2024 21:08

DS1 watched today's episode with me on catch-up (he doesn't usually) and when he saw Scarlett he said "what! How old is her character supposed to be! She's like, a child, she was only in that CBBC show really recently!"

I fear that covid and lockdowns etc have warped his sense of time just as much as they have mine!

Very sad, but yes, well acted.

Please can we have a cheery WTF episode soon, writers! Like the Joe Pasquale one!

Raahh · 31/01/2024 07:45

It was a very well done one yesterday, and the type of episode they do well- (thankfully no soppy Sid turning as Rapid Response).

I don't know if these episodes will have been filmed just before or around the time they found out the show was being cancelled- but soon we must move to episodes where the actors will have known the axe had fallen- and that must be hard. I remember watching Holby towards the end- and the storylines (bar one fairly big one) got thinner- the rest got silly, the cast disappeared, and there was a feeling of 'the end'.

Doctors has always been hit and miss any way, so sustaining it will be difficult - unless they think it will get an 11th hour reprieve. (Which I do hope it does, however daft it is, I'd rather watch it than another quiz show).
