It sounded very 1950's housewife I thought @MadCatLady27 .

Not sure how my daughters in their 20's feel about a peer saying the men should go out and be hunter gatherers, and the women should keep the home fires burning!

Interesting change of viewpoint ime

I have 2 DDs in Nella's age group and I cannot imagine either of them - or any of their friends talking this way. The whole "pampered princess" and "i'm just a girl" stuff seems really odd for women in their 20s

Totally agree @FreshWinterMorning it was the only time I've agreed with Nella so far. I recognise 'that' type of man all too well, among my demographic of late 30/40 year old men. My ex husband was one of these - wanted 50/50 at all times unless it suited him to have me do more than my share.

This!

@MadCatLady27 · Today 22:25

Surprised more isn't being made of Nellas comments about how she was glad the men were "real men" as they were doing tasks in camp, the official page is even celebrating it

If it was a man saying they're glad one of the women is a "real woman" as she's cooking....

@janejeffer If it gets them to empty the dunny then fair play I say.

Agree Jane.

I kind of get what Nella means to be honest! The men of her generation, younger blokes, 20s, 30s, and 40s especially say, 'why can't the women do half of everything?' 'Why can't the women pay half of everything?' 'The women want equal opportunities, so they can do half of everything, and pay their way......' Blah blah blah.........

But they never want to do half of everything when it comes to the domestic chores and the childcare and the grunt work. Most men want equal opportunities - and for women to be equal - when it suits them.

If a man is doing some stuff to help around the house/with the domestic chores/cooking/doing grunt work - that is nice to see actually. It's good to see, because it shows that he'll look after his woman and their children and not expect her to do everything ..

There's too many men that don't want to do anything for women at all, not a damn thing, because equal opportunities. But they don't want the same equal opportunities in the house/in the marriage, and want the woman to do everything.

So yeah, Nella was right, it was nice to see the men being real men and pulling their finger out and doing something. Not lazy ass fuckers who expect women to wait on them hand and foot. (Like most men.)

YES!! So many lazy fucker men out there who want a woman to raise their children for them and wait on them hand on foot AND pay for the privilege and then say but you wanted feminism didn't you! the relationships board is full of them. Absolute lazy good for nothing cocklodger arseholes.

Voted Sam for camp leader, just for the giggles!

I voted Sam and Fred, Sam because he would be really positive and lovely and Fred is a natural leader.

user6776 · 27/11/2023 08:18

Grace Dent has quit

SoftKittyBazinga · 27/11/2023 08:19

Not surprising. Where did you see the announcement @user6776

SoftKittyBazinga · 27/11/2023 08:26

Cheers 👍

Choux · 27/11/2023 08:32

'Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds'

So has she quit or did the medical team stop her continuing? She seemed ready to quit but the announcement is unclear exactly how her time in camp has ended.

Dontjudgeme101 · 27/11/2023 08:32

So who will do the trial with Josie tonight?

Dontjudgeme101 · 27/11/2023 08:33

She should never have gone on the show in the first place.

Choux · 27/11/2023 08:38

So who will do the trial with Josie tonight?

Maybe she quit after filming the trial. In which case the trial probably goes badly with few stars won.

HurdyGurdy19 · 27/11/2023 08:40

She was replaced by another campmate in the trial according to the Daily Mail article.

I'm sorry she's not well, but I'll be glad not to see her glum face again.

Dontjudgeme101 · 27/11/2023 08:40

@@Choux l didn’t think of that.

Dontjudgeme101 · 27/11/2023 08:41

@HurdyGurdy19 Thanks for that.

FrancisSeaton · 27/11/2023 08:47

I'm glad grace has quit she is not well at all I don't think

Heyev · 27/11/2023 09:01

The bookies bottom 6 are now

Nella, Nick, JL, Marvin, Frankie and Danielle

Chagallo · 27/11/2023 09:02

I may be cynical but I think this has always been Grace's game plan. She's been very vocal about I'm a Celebrity in the past and I don't think she wanted to be in there any longer than she had to.

Aquarius1234 · 27/11/2023 09:02

Wow not many women left now.
Its weird about Grace. Wonder what the main issue was.

lollipoprainbow · 27/11/2023 09:06

'She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

She's done nothing apart from look stricken !!

Marshtit · 27/11/2023 09:07

i dont think Grace will be missed

Yeh who knows, even though she looked terrible and miserable, I did see her talking in the background, just never shown during episodes.
So she's known to be scary ( but not really) and outspoken, but had clearly chosen to not get involved in any deep conversations.
Which I doubt ITV cast her to go under the radar!

Inkanta · 27/11/2023 09:15

Good for her getting out. Yes she looked fed up but it doesn't look much fun in there anyway. Also looks staged and even scripted - not like the good ole days. Ant and Dec are still funny.
