I haven't watched East Enders in years, but I still check the spoiler thread now and then to see what's going on. Was nearly tempted to watch again at Christmas.

Anyway, just wondering why they would kill Keanu? I think the last I recall he was having an affair with Sharon and disappeared before Phil could kill him.

Elaine always sounds like she's jumped out of a birthday cake. 😂

Not seen today's yet, but yesterday's wqs wild. They couldn't look any more guilty if they tried.

Keanu wanted to run away with Albie ( who he thought was his son ) and Karen ( his mum ) stopped him. Sharon was tempted with a job opportunity in the Middle East and Keanu thought that he wouldn't see him ever again.
He then persuaded Karen to pretend that Albie had been kidnapped by Sharon's business rivals or someone out for money and Karen took him to her sister and brother in law ( uncle Malcolm)
Keanu acted dumb, Phil put up 50 k of his ' dirty cash ' and Albie was ' found ' by Karen a day later in the park and she kept the cash. Her relatives were none the wiser the whole time and Albie was always safe.
K and Sharon got back together and arranged the wedding. Karen was caught out when Phil discovered she was behind the kidnap ( admittedly reluctantly) and her Mitch Bailey and Chantelle's kids now live in Spain with the remaining money ! Keanu still pretended he didn't know anything about the kidnap plot , but Bernie found out and she grassed him up on his wedding day by telling Phil
Phil is actually albies dad as discovered by a blood test they did on Albie ( which is a whole other thread!)

Karen never landed her son in it at any point either and ended up having to leave

Sharon was goading Keanu on Xmas day about not being Albies dad and that's when he went for her and tried to strangle her ended up dead by Turkey fork and wrapped up in Ian Beales tarpaulin

I love Elaine as the landlady of the Vic, she's a good actress, much better than lots of the cast.

oh she is a good actress and i like her but its a total character change.

So it'd be fine to tell someone a twist in a movie/play or how a book ends, because they'll find out anyway? 🤔
No, it's not life or death but it ruins plots/cliffhangers

I don't mind Elaine , but lately she's just been very over the top and didn't seem to care that Linda has lost her husband ( Mick ) only kart year or had all that trauma on Christmas Day
As far as she knows , Ken held them all hostage with a knife and attacked Nish and all the rest of it , yet all she was worried about were the profits on Boxing day and another blooming quiz! Lol

Plus Keanu was playing dumb because he knew Phil would go for him if he found out. He turned from cheeky chappie mechanic into a possessed lying toe rag tbh , but I was upset he was the victim as others had done worse ( Dean , Nish etc)

Poor Rocky. Looks like he is going to be spending time at His Majesty’s Pleasure.

I wouldn't mind if that was his exit storyline - hope Rocky goes out with a bang and I don't want any of the 6 to leave or end up in prison!

I also love Elaine and think they've changed her character to be a sort of comedy one, perhaps in the way that Shirley always had great lines. She is just bulldozes into every situation with a total lack of awareness. Poor Linda though, Elaine doesn't seem to worry about her feelings at all. I do think her laugh is funny!

Won't other people start to think it odd that the Six's phones will all go keep going off at the same time and then they run off? Eve is brighter than most of them but even so.

Elaine is very watchable in the sense you never know what she’s going to come out with next and I like that the Vic has a matriarchal figure - it’s like a nod to the Angie Watts / Pat Butcher / Peggy Mitchell days. Harriet Thorpe is doing a super job playing her.

Apparently, not only are George's adoptive parents going to be turning up on the square, but also Billy's dad 😯

I didn't even know his dad was still alive. Especially given that he's already lost a son and a granddaughter!

He turns up for Aunt Sal's funeral.

I agree. I hope they keep her in the Vic as landlady for many years.
