I think I am in the minority but I was really disappointed. Thought the acting was so over the top (and not in a good way) and we spent most of the episode last night and today laughing about how ridiculous it all was

After months of build up I thought it was quite an anticlimax even with the twist

Just for fun...we haven't actually seen Ravi who got quite the blow to the head before Nish had his head bopped by Denise. Is Ravi going to be OK? Or will he drop dead next week? Weren't we promised two deaths? Cos right now we've only got one (although Nish's breathing wasn't great...). Just a thought.

I did think it was odd we hadn't see Ravi since the fight.

The fight was in a house full of Vinny, Priya, Nugget and Avani though which I think largely kills that idea - otherwise Nish has already somehow dumped Ravi's body somewhere.

But yes, plot hole for me.

After watching today's episode, I think Rocky's going to be in trouble. We know Brian Conley leaves soon, so maybe the Six will frame him for Nish's attempted murder?

I'm wondering why they don't finish Nish off, then he can't say they're lying.
And my wildcard prediction is that Dean is still there, sees the error of his ways (perhaps he has a ghostly visitation/dream), and either backs their story or takes the blame.

Couldn't watch the Christmas Day episode in full.....where is Dean....what happened with him?

Kathy has already cracked a bit / forgotten the made up story and landed Suki in it! These police officers seem a bit less dim too

Dean I bet was there but he won’t back their story. He’s got no reasons either way to do so. He’s got beef with Linda and slightly with Denise but none of the others really like him either.

I have to admit I thought the rolling pin to the head injury was the most shocking and potentially deadly of the lot.

Yes! I agree, I proper yelled at the telly when that happened. We know he's alive cos he phoned Suku and is with his family but.....if Nish lives, my bets are on Ravi having some kind of delayed response, dies, Nish ends up in prison, Suki snd Eve live happily ever after.

Just watched today’s episode on iPlayer and had to check that I hadn’t skipped an episode as it seemed to jump a lot. Who “found” Nish? Who called the police? How did the Six end up at the police station?

Did I miss an episode?

So Bernie told the police about Ken. They also found her a new home, so looks like she is staying for now.

The bit I don’t get is why Sonia aka Dot was being harsh on Kathy for not forgiving Rocky. I know that was Monday but it bugged me.

Sonia forgave Rocky for pretending to be her dad , so I guess she thinks Kathy should forgive burning her beloved cafe down for money!! Lol
I thought that Felix would help Bernie , I didn't know anything , but it's not often I guess correctly.
Strange nobody has called Elaine n George to tell them about the pub and an incident there

Also, wasn't George 'whisking' Elaine away for just one night? She didn't take any luggage either so they should have been back on Boxing Day.

Gina and Anna didn't even seem remotely distressed at the news the Pub was a possible crime scene did they ! You'd be a bit concerned

I do think that people could be kinder when a genuine mistake is made though.

Especially as I still think that it was wrong to announce Lola's death in a thread title (which can't ge avoided) minutes after it happened and then argue that it's a TV pace thread when people mentioned it. The thread is TV paced but the title can be seen by anyone not wanting to see it. It would be like someone putting a spoiler in the title of this thread and then saying "Well, it's clearly a spoiler thread". People can't dictate their own versions of acceptable usage of a public forum.

Christmas Eastenders is going to attract non-regulars who may not realise that an episode drop doesn't count as TV paced. Some might not even realise that episodes are dropped early and assume if it's on iplayer it's been on TV.

Really there will always be a risk if you choose to discuss TV online, there's no need to swear at people over a TV programme.

I post on the other thread sometimes but it cracks me up as there is often speculation that comes true and I think hmm was that actually a spoiler disguised as speculation. Doesn't bother me as I read this thread too but if I was that concerned I'd just not go on there until I'd seen that day's show.

I wouldn’t swear at anyone here, but everyone knows that EE is, for the vast majority of time, dropped on iPlayer in the morning before it’s broadcast that evening. Also, people posting on an online message forum should be capable of understanding the first post and the title, especially when as it’s so simple as the ones created on here for EE.

I also think there’s regular name-changers who are avid or occasional EE watchers and who deliberately post spoilers on the main thread, not necessarily today but maybe in the past. Their writing style gives them away, plus they know histories of characters.

It just causes friction though.
I put something yesterday that might have been seen as a spoiler ( but wasn't really ) so I took it down. Genuine mistake on my part , just wrong thread and nothing that bad.
I am very careful around any spoilers as it does upset people and people like the surprise elements

Kathy truly is a terrible liar! Suki is the best liar out of them and is holding her nerve very well.
