Phil let Alfie off the money that was stolen , but he also previously let him off some other money too. Something to do with a dodgy classic Capri car scam years ago.
He only paid him 2 k back when he sold his boat ( I think) as Kat once mentioned / laughed that Alfie had only paid him a fraction of what was due!
He also paid the ' kidnappers' 50k ( which Karen now has) although I'm sure Sharon will try and pay this back?

Forgiveness is a weird thing and let's not forget that Bobby did go to a young offenders prison for a while. He didn't mean to actually murder Lucy ( hitting Jane with a hockey stick was unforgivable, but she managed it!) but Lucy had already had a head injury prior to him hitting her, so maybe this is why Ian could find the strength to forgive him?
I don't think I could, but then it's still his child etc.
Cindy tried to have Ian killed by a hitman and he has forgiven her as well as pretending to be dead for 25 years or whatever it was.
We still haven't found out what Cindy Rose did for nine years of that either! All forgotten about.

@Blondeshavemorefun I do think Ian has this vulnerable side, so eg Jane/Cindy take him on despite his previous problems, maybe try to fix them or they get together with him and then he has problems. The vulnerable side can be appealing he does seem to have an entrepreneurial side which can be appealing to a partner.
