Not forgetting the attempted rape of Suki, and the fallout from that. He was eliminated by Ravi, but Suki and Kheerat are still suffering the consequences of Ravi's deception.

The writers are probably briefed to keep the viewers watching and have come up with more and more outlandish story lines to keep us hooked.
I'd prefer it if Dean finally gets his just desserts
Maybe he'll have a go at one of the six ( not Linda ) and finally be killed off ( or sent to prison)
At least we saw Gray get taken down several notches and finally carted off to serve time!

I'd like to know why the writers seem to dislike Linda so much : she had a rubbish time last year with Janine nicking her man, duping her daughter Nancy and Zac into thinking she had stolen money and whatnot and her husband drowning / missing on Christmas Day.
As well as trying to stay off the drink. She also has a child with autism and Annie is max brannings.
Now Dean has made her confess to something that didn't happen and recorded it and had a whole new family move in taking up space in a tiny flat
No wonder she always looks stressed out

I've never understood what Eve sees in Suki.

I'm pleased that they've finally got back to continuing the Theo story. Eve can't leave anyway as she was the brains behind covering for Stacey attacking him.

Going back to upthread, I do think there are too many abuse storylines of late, plus they've had same sex abuse in the past but I can't recall female on male abuse/coercion at all. Has that ever been done? I think they need more varied storylines. As soon. As Grey went down we got Nish. It was too soon.

Jackie Owen used to hit Gianni but it was because she had PMDD or something.

None of the female characters who've been abused/raped/stalked or otherwise mistreated have given much hope to women in similar situations on real life.

Suki and Eve are suited as both are the professional types I guess. She didn't really fancy Tessa that much as she had a normal job and a bit more down to earth , fun loving. Working class I suppose.
Eve being an ex lawyer still shines through despite her fall from Grace and working on a burger bap stall!

There were lots of younger people in it at very first , Ian , Sharon , Mark, Michelle , Wicksy , but I agree it had an older feel to it and much smaller sets too

They have tackled elder abuse with Nick and Dot before , especially when he pretended to have found God , but was actually poisoning her instead. Or trying to . This was many years ago though !

I just think EE has too much of an 'all men are bastards' feel about it at the moment, which isn't nice when watching with your partner. Where are the Kevin's from Motherland 😂. Even the ones who are supposed to be more normal like Jack and Ian aren't really that nice. Martin is regularly a bit violent. I used to like Vinny but he's a bit of a nob now. The best message EE could send is not having the women give these guys the time of day and not falling into abusive relationships in the first place.

Men do get a bad rep on EE.
Hardly any are role models for their children and have dodgy pasts.
I thought maybe Reiss might buck the trend ( at first ) but he is just annoying and controlling

I think Mick was sexually abused by a woman who worked in the children’s home he grew up in. That’s how he ended up fathering his daughter when he was about 14.

Years ago Ben was abused by a very strange woman (Stella?) Phil almost married.

I agree that the men on EE are not portrayed in a good light. I suppose there are nice ones like Zack, Harvey and Mitch but they’ve had their issues too. Men are either criminals, evil or just completely hapless/loser types. There isn’t a single guy on the square I’d consider relationship material!
