Just finished watching a 3 part gripping doc about an MLM turned cult

Anybody else watched?

I searched but could only find people discussing whether they believe in a twin flame or not

Im on ep 3. Im angry about the whole twin flames bollocks. Yet again, designed by men for men cult. Absolutely misogynistic, entitled, ego inflated, sexist pigs wanting sex when they want ...this cult in essence condones rape , even encourages it. The guy that runs it is a psychopath! The guys entering this 'cult' are right back to the 50s in regards to how they treat women. Tbh i think women were treated better in the 1950s

What a nasty little man the cult leader is. Those poor women and their families. What’s scary is the cult is still going and still recruiting people.

Started watching this last week Ystd (only watched the first one.)

It was a good example of a man using all the classic abusing tactics. Grooming vulnerable women, gaslight them, isolate them from their families etc.

Really grim.

I couldn't believe how it started MLM and ended with the trans stuff! Honestly it caught me off guard. It was clear there weren't enough men to couple the women with but I thought they'd find away to recruit more men not transition the existing women!!

And I really felt for those poor mums at the end who have lost their children to the cult and are keeping them sweet by using different names and pronouns just so they'll stay in contact. It's heartbreaking that they can't get through to them

Not sure if anyone else saw when searching for the title - there are a few threads discussing whether a 'twin flame' is real or not snd scrolling through the comments there are people replying who are totally mindfucked explaining how they have one and the concept is real etc.

I know somebody who has wasted years of her life waiting for her twin flame, a man who has made it blatantly clear he's not interested. He's been very kind but he doesn't want a relationship with her. Or anything for that matter. She believes he's the father of the child she hasn't yet had and he just hasn't realised it yet. I've had to take a step back from this fuckwittery.

@JMSA I know how you feel. It must take a certain type of person to be duped into believing this. Maybe people who trust others at face value or even some who don't fit in elsewhere find themselves accepted in these sort of groups

Yeah, you're right. My reply probably wasn't very charitable! The people who fall into these things are vulnerable for sure.

It's very much like people who fall for online or telephone scams though. It doesn't go from first contact to reveal of the scam in a heartbeat. There's a process that draws people in and gives them something first, whether that's confidence trust or something physical or the promise of something desired.

I cannot understand how A) they haven't been arrested for coercive control and B) how child protective services haven't removed their child, particularly after some of the 'pleasuring themselves' stuff they speaking about. Horrified.

I felt so bad when Jeff was speaking about an African woman who had just given him £4k. "She's got nothing, lives in 1 room with her son, and this bitch gave me £4k". I was so angry then. I can't believe law enforcement are letting this continue.

Just finished watching the netflix series. I really felt for the family members cut off from their loved ones. It was his ambition to be a cult leader makes you feel sick!

I watched this with my mouth open because of all the essentially real time footage. I can't believe it's ongoing right now. I was absolutely disgusted and freaked out when they were talking about getting their baby girl and her being celibate. 100% got sexual abuser vibes from the pair of them in that segment.
