Just finished watching a 3 part gripping doc about an MLM turned cult

Anybody else watched?

I searched but could only find people discussing whether they believe in a twin flame or not

I found this series so horrifying. The control over the women was outrageous. Just putting up a list, this person you’ve never met is now your soulmate, get on with it. Change gender because I have declared you are now divine masculine. Give all your time and money to me.
I found it interesting as to what the triggers to leave were for the women who had managed to get out. The ones left in seemed so incredibly vulnerable and their poor parents, that was heartbreaking to watch.
The child of the leader couple, I just cannot believe that with all this horrible evidence she hasn’t been removed from them. Its abuse, pure and simple.
What an evil, greedy man. Hard to believe it’s ongoing tbh.

It was interesting that they were pushing that diet plan you had to pay for that was providing too many calories so the women were gaining weight when shalaia had gained weight. Such a sociopathic couple.

My personal theory was that in keeping the members overweight, they'd be less likely to find partners on the outside world and more likely to find attraction within the TFU.

I just watched the one on Prime, plan to start the Netflix one tonight but am shocked that the cult is still operating.

I watched the other night! Such a strange group of people. I found it fascinating and strange all at once. The couple who began the group certainly have a nice life style from it! I found the diet plan they made people buy into odd!

I listened to the podcast and am yet to watch this. The ‘Twin Flame’ thing is also peddled by new age groups in this country too, it’s not just in the US.

I finished watching this today. Honestly what a vile pairing. He's a complete misogynistic fucktard, and she's no better. I honestly don't know how anyone can listen to him and believe the utter tripe coming out of his mouth. The fact they smugly sat there and said about her being found living in a garage and now sat wearing Chanel.

The most disturbing was those who have believed the divine masculine/feminine directive and have transitioned.

And even more disturbing is they've brought a child into it all!

Just finishing the final Netflix episode. The whole transition thing is just awful. One thing I didn't understand was that they had a shortage of men so were transitioning women to men, but they had transwomen - why didn't they ask them to transition back to male?

And even just watching Jeff in the programme makes me feel ill, he's so smug.

I mean they didn't have many transwomen did they? Certainly not enough to partner with the huge numbers of women. Plus they saw 'man' and 'woman' as performative so in their doctrine the transwomen were performing woman perfectly.
given their numbers were probably 90% female to 10% male (including transwomen) they had to start pairing up women.

I find myself focused on Shalaia when Jeff is ranting. Just watching her expression to what he's saying - nothing. She's never shocked, surprised or appalled. She just sits with that glaikit smile in some sort of trance

Personally, the concept of twin flames I believe is real but very very rare. If you're spiritual, you will understand. They're some decent groups who don't charge for anything and welcome you with an open heart as a community as any other group. And they are not a cult, just a bunch of spiritual people who are on a journey of self discovery and healing, that's all.

However, them two monsters, especially him, who has huge narcissistic tendencies and is money and power hungry should end up in prison. It's awful how much damage him and his partner caused to those innocent people. My heart literally aches for them 💔

I've now finished both docs and when they said baby Grace can only be pleased by god I felt sick to my stomach because Jeff her dad believes he is god... please tell me I got that part wrong?

Their ‘twin flame’ relationship seemed so toxic to me. He was constantly talking over her in a really dismissive way. Incredible that it represented some sort of ideal to the followers
