I am in a WhatsApp chat about the show and it's amazing how different our views are to some of the views expressed on here.
As a group (all middle aged white women) we LOVE Trish. We think she is emotionally intelligent, eloquent and reasoned. I wish I could be as articulate as her.
All totally bored with the triangle now. I quite liked Jordan at first but now I think he is both selfish and spiteful. The whole deadpan honesty act is a way to tell his truth whilst pretending it's an ironic joke. He's a nasty piece of work.
Jenkin is (IMO) the biggest game player in there. He, Olivia and Chantelle are all equally unpleasant and bitchy but Jenkin is calculating whereas the other two are just stupid and lack self awareness.
Henry lacks backbone. Yinrun is fun to watch but shallow.
Noky seems fine to me. She's nice enough but lacks confidence (hence her fixation on appearance, she thinks it's all she has). She's so withdrawn it's hard to know her.
Matty is growing on me. I disliked him at first as he seemed performatively quirky but he has shown himself to be kind and thoughtful. I think he finds Jordan's mind games distressing as he is an honest person so doesn't understand the manipulation.
I think Tom is very young and impressionable. He is an absolute pinhead who can't think for himself. He was overly influenced by the garden gang at first and can't find his way back from that.
