Not a Layton fan but I’d like it if they both did it in sharp suits rather than an obviously male/female role split. We shall see.

One very sad DD at Adam’s departure - he also grew on me a lot as the weeks went by. Angela can bore off.

I’ve seen plenty of male couples dancing ATs and none of them needed lipstick and dresses, it was very manly and sexy with both of them in suits, both obviously men.

Isn't she 79 or something? I know she shouldn't have done it if she couldn't do all the dances, but I don't want to see an 80 year old break a hip on Saturday night TV! I think they want to get her to Blackpool and do some old Come Dancing VT's, then she can go!

I doubt she will ever be given a jive, salsa or samba, especially not next week as that could jeopardise her getting to Blackpool. I think a Paso next week, followed by an American Smooth at BP, and that will be her last week.

I agree, I really don't think they will give her one of those dances this far into the competition as she will obviously score quite low as how can someone her age be up to doing a jive, salsa etc. obviously if she's still in after BP she may have to but I think that's unlikely.

On a different note, I’m growing fonder of Layton, having previously not been a fan because of him cos such an obvious ringer it was unfair. But I feel he’s really trying to work on his technique. And he’s getting so much horrendous trolling online and managing to get on with it and keep going. Unlike Amanda. Still v v mad that she gave up and we don’t get to see Gio 😭😭

Adam’s dance was better.
She was carted round and stumbled.
It wasn’t a close call atall. She could’ve fallen flat on her face and they still would’ve kept her in.

I don't mind Layton. Ringers like him never win, so I don't see a problem with enjoying his dances. It's not like he's taking the place of someone who the competition could change their life - all the contestants are already celebrities and paid to be in it already.

I've changed my opinion a bit about Layton. Yes he is a fabulous professional dancer but he won't win, he's very entertaining to watch, he brings out the very best in Nikita and he does actually seem like a nice guy and friends with all the other contestants.

He doesn't deserve to win in the spirit of the competition but he's great entertainment. And that's what the show is about.

Yes I agree I am enjoying Leytons dances now he won’t win but it’s a terrific watch.
Glad Angela S stayed in she’s undermarked most weeks.

Bad decision, judges. OK< Adam was never going to win, but I liked that dance a lot and Angela R is not really up to it unfortunately.

I think they'll go for Annabel next week, some of the commentary seemed quite valedictory - 'I'm glad you were able to do that dance before you go...'

Very sad to see Adam go - he seems such a lovely and humble guy. He bought something very genuine to the competition and his goodbye speech was really touching.

Angela R looked quite bad tempered about being in the dance off. I don't think her dance was technically better than Adam's. I enjoy Layton and Nikita and like Krishnan and Angela for their pleasure in being in the competition.

Diane and Bobby do come across as being less big sister/little brother than they used to be but the media love a 'Strictly curse' story and can over interpret even the most platonic hug. It must be very hard being the partner of a celebrity.

I don't think Angela's dance was brilliant to be honest but Adam didn't dance at all really, his lovely partner was fabulous but she danced around him most of the time, he didn't move a great deal.

Poor old Adam looked very unwell this week, and he didn’t seem his usual bouncy self. I thought he improved the most in DO and should have stayed over Angela! (Wish it had been an Angela/Angela DO with AS leaving because I HATED that dance, and she irrationally annoys me!). Luba seemed very genuine when she was saying her little goodbye speech to Adam.

Bless ya Adam. Definitely in the spirit of the show! Well done.

I loved his comment that he was in the dance off so that people could see his dance again!

I thought Angela R seemed pretty annoyed at being there.
