Anyone else looking forward to the new season starting on Wednesday? It will seem a bit strange without Perez but looks to be a good cast and storyline so far as we know.

I find the bloke who runs the hostel, and is helping to look after Noah a bit dodgy - he's my shout.

Or: they set the crime during Shetland Wool Week when it’s absolutely full of knitters with their sharp-pointed needles.

My goodness that sounds wonderful.

But maybe it would become a fued with the Cake Fridge followers who would claim their ballooning business had been pierced by renegade needles.

There was a highchair in the background of Tosh's room but what surprised me was that Tosh didn't ask after her daughter or pop in to see her in bed when she got home. On the plus side I'm liking Tosh's range of jumpers and Ruth's scarf but still miss the cake fridge.

With the frequent mentions of clothing in the Shetland threads, am frequently taken aback to find I cant quite make out what someone is posting, on to realise it is MN's new form of advertising where they now appear as posts in a thread.

Sorry I’ve not read all the posts but why is it that it as if Tosh and Donny’s child doesn’t exist this season?

I thought I spotted Louise this series in the flat in the background kneeling on the rug and playing. I can't remember which episode.

I spotted a high chair in the last episode too. Tosh never seems to want to get home from work to see her though and they never mention who is baby sitting whilst they are at all the parties etc.

@longtompot I was starting to wonder if Noah actually shot his mum when hiding from whoever was in the Croft, but really no clearer this close to the end of the series.

Oh my goodness …

Wild Fire - a family from Southern England move to Shetland to give their autistic son a better life but then the nanny is found dead in the barn.

Isn’t that essentially what we’re watching? (Details changed, but that outline.)

Season finale tonight!

Hoping all the loose ends will be neatly tied up.

LadyEloise1 · 11/12/2024 18:46

There's been quite a run of murders in this series. Well 3 murders and 1 manslaughter offence.
Annie
Bergen
The cheating brother in the first scene of the new series
The son who was accidentally killed by his father.

Shetland the murder capital of Scotland. Smile

BiliousOhGod · 11/12/2024 21:21

Ooooo, lots of disclosures....

SoupDragon · 11/12/2024 21:41

The lizard!

Forestdweller11 · 11/12/2024 21:41

I know! The lizard!!!!

RandomersAssociation · 11/12/2024 21:43

Oh my god!

SoupDragon · 11/12/2024 21:59

What sort of pathetic serving of wine was that?!

What sort of pathetic serving of wine was that?!

Exactly what I was thinking. I'd be pretty annoyed and ask where the rest was.

everythingisgoingup · 11/12/2024 22:01

Nice coat on Ashley, anyone know where it's from ?

Forestdweller11 · 11/12/2024 22:02

Yup
The size of the wine
Maybe it's a Scottish thing ? Domt they have stronger alcohol laws?

Merrilydancing · 11/12/2024 22:03

Well done to the poster who suspected the family. I thought it was something to do with illegal gambling so completely off track.

RandomersAssociation · 11/12/2024 22:04

That was a lot. The resolution, not the wine. My heart was thumping for poor little Noah.

The lizard …

Forestdweller11 · 11/12/2024 22:04

How were they going to get home? Presume taxi? I'f they knew they were drinking they'd have arrived in a taxi surely? if they were sharing a bottle that would put them well over Scottish driving drive laws!

RandomersAssociation · 11/12/2024 22:05

Although … Did they perhaps cut out a bit of filming, because I’m not sure we ever saw exactly what he must have seen (and been referring to) on the night?

burnoutbabe · 11/12/2024 22:14

Before he went Into the house he looked back and saw Izard last by her car -a very brief shot.

Why were Annie and Bergen at the Croft? Far too convoluted this one. Why was Lisa in the area in first place ? I assumed sone eco warrior reason?

wildfellhall · 11/12/2024 22:16

I love new Shetland with the women but I do miss the sad eyed man with the daughter Cassie

  • what was he called?
wildfellhall · 11/12/2024 22:17

I saw all of series and can't think of his name....

Kingdomoffife · 11/12/2024 22:17

Why was the first murder - the one where the guy killed his brother- Bergen's fault?

It definitely all felt very convoluted. Nice to see Tosh and Ruth out bonding together at the end though.
