After loving 5 Bedrooms, Colin From Accounts, Wanted, the Newsreader, Bump and The Heart Guy I’m looking for more Aussie stuff

I also loved Frayed and was watching 800 words, but can’t find it now

We tried Back to the Rafters, but couldn’t really get into it. It’s a continuation of something else, and I think probably better if you’ve seen that!

Any recommendations very gratefully received. We have Prime, Netflix, Disney and BritBox, also a free months Apple TV. I don’t mind paying for Acorn if there’s a few things

TV series’s preferred but I love rubbishy Christmas type films too

Thank you!

Wellmania and Stateless on Netflix. And Muster Dogs.

Bluey, obviously!

I'm trying to remember the name of the one with the actress with the fringe. She had to move back to her childhood town of Newcastle with her two teenagers.

CarInsuranceIssue · 25/10/2023 14:31

The Secret Life of Us. There’s an Aussie version of Footballers Wives whose name escapes me but had Olympia Valance in it. Underbelly. Isn’t Back to the Rafters a continuation of Packed to the Rafters?

TheDuchessOfMN · 25/10/2023 14:31

I thought “Fisk” was hilarious.

GladysHeeler · 25/10/2023 14:32

Frayed!

That's what it's called.

IsGoodIsDon · 25/10/2023 14:43

Yeah I wouldn’t watch back to the rafters if you weren’t a fan of packed to rafters.
Stateless
Offspring
House Husbands
Bluey
Wanted
Underbelly
A place to call home

A Place to Call Home on UKTV

Cannas · 25/10/2023 18:04

If you don't mind New Zealand tv which I find quite similar to Aussie, My Life is Murder is fun. Also Brokenwood.

Jbck · 25/10/2023 19:08

I enjoyed The Letdown.

DuranNotSpandeau · 25/10/2023 19:55

Janet King, a legal drama series. There was also a prequel series called Crownies but I've never found it to be able to watch.

DuranNotSpandeau · 25/10/2023 19:58

Oh and Mystery Road: Origins.

WinterDipper · 25/10/2023 20:01

You can also watch stuff online via southernhemtv all the Oz programs.

timtam23 · 25/10/2023 22:38

Love My Way. The female lead was also one of the main actors in The Secret Life of Us

timtam23 · 25/10/2023 22:40

DH also really enjoyed No Activity

PositanoBay · 25/10/2023 22:41

The Block well worth a look

CrossPurposes · 25/10/2023 22:57

Class of '07 is a comedy on Prime with Emily Browning. It's got a silly premise which is an excuse to explore relationships between former classmates in a isolated setting.

Elderflower14 · 25/10/2023 23:01

Dr Blake Mysteries are excellent!

Edited

I loved Janet King, too!

Although I live in England, the STVplayer platform is available and that's where I watched Crownies and several other Australian series.
