I thought I'd take inspiration from Shirley's word of the week. We're down to the last few pages of #7 and I had some spare time so thought I'd get prepared.

Loved Krishnan, Ellie and Nigel. Full of admiration for Angela R

In fact everyone was enjoyable but I thought Annabel, Eddie and Zara were the weakest

I like that Ellie has made me enjoy Vito as a pro. I didn’t warm to him previously and can’t even remember his past partners but this pairing is showing a really great side of him. I laughed at his overexcited explanation of whatever step Shirley has recognised. The two of them being giddy in claudorium with her hitting him was just sweet and really natural. Sometimes the couples do acted goofy or close up there but it seems fake whereas those two seemed so genuinely. Ellie seems like a really relaxed downto earth person. I hope she continues to do well. Her paso was my favourite of the whole season.

Angela S and actually Angela R both don’t sit right with me. I’m not sure I can place it but I don’t believe either are genuine and there is something a bit off putting for me about both.

Layton is an amazing dancer and that routine was great to watch. But ring ring ring a ding!! I rolled my eyes when one of the judges said something along lines of it was watching two equals. Yeah it was and it ISN'T SUPPOSE TO BE!!! It’s suppose to be a pro teaching a non pro!! Albeit some can dance and some can’t but they aren’t suppose to be “equal” to the pro!!! Plus I’m getting worried Nikita is going to start becoming slightly irritating too now as all these top leader boards high scores and he’s really grown on me recently so I don’t want him to become annoying!

Won’t be watching the results until kids are in bed. Think it might be Zara and Eddie but I voted Eddie as think he’s been really harshly critiqued. Annabell was too for her Charleston. She scores low compared to worse dances.

I think most other teams wear black shorts Choux!

I've liked Vito to this series. And Carlos seems a bit chattier. I think for the non-native speaking pros who aren't really UK-based it must be really hard having to do everything in English, especially on their first series.

Also, however good they are, it's sometimes difficult to be accepted into a cohesive group which the Great British Public know and love.

Usually, they're more popular in their second series.

Yep I think it can take them a few series to 'get it', 'it' being a combination of being relaxed and confident doing everything in English combined with a familiarity with the quirks of Britishness. There have been loads of pros that seemed fairly unforgettable at first that have established themselves as real favourites once they were more settled.

My votes would have gone to Ellie, Krishnan and Angela R.

I thought Eddie was a zillion times better than the last couple of weeks so was surprised to hear the judges' comments.

@PantsToItAll I agree about Angela S. There's something I find just not quite genuine about her. She reminds me of Helen Skelton but not such a good dancer. There are nano-seconds when she's getting feedback or in the Clauditorium when it seems she almost has to remind herself to SMILE for the camera and look like she is happy.

I wonder if Angela S thought maybe she'd do better than she has done and is a tad disappointed? She's a very good Irish dancer and has performed a lot, maybe she felt the transition would have been easier?

Pressed post too soon. Craig was also spot on about Angela and Carlos's faffing abaht at the end.

Bobbie is starting to bore me a bit. Lovely lad though he is.

Will Vicky ever get to the end of the pink and yellow rolls of fabric she picked up do we think?

Ooh I'm looking forward to the Fosse inspired dance from the professionals tonight!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do... I'm obviously very loyal to Strictly but I'm enjoying the ITV Mamma Mia show which overlaps by 15 mins.

I don't want to miss a Fosse pro dance though.

I also think it will be Eddie v Zara for the dance off, most likely Zara to go as she is not a dancer, bless her.

Have shocked and appalled my children this evening by giving them advance warning that I'll be switching over to the rugby final during next week's Halloween show. I am now the Worst Mother In The World.
